What do you guys reckon, especially fellow Scots?

Here is my thoughts, I reckon he will be sacked if we don't win more than 1 or 2 matches this year, which will be a good thing because imho, he maybe should have went after World Cup failure but for some reason SRU are always reluctant to fire managers, it took them long enough to sack Hadden.

IMO, Robbo knows results will determine his future and at the moment, he isn't getting results, 2 wins and a draw under him in 6 Nations is unacceptable especially with the time he's had in job and add to that, the failure to qualify for knockout stages of RWC.

We need a better coach in order to improve or we'll be laughing stock of Rugby for more years, even Italy are better than us!!

I would like Townsend to be got rid of first.

He has been the attack coach for what, 6 years or so now? Where have Scotland had their problems?

So long as changes are made, Parks dropped, Scott, Weir and Hogg brought in, well there is not much more that could be done.

Who would you replace Robinson with? I see some are saying Bradley. His first stint where he has actually done a reasonable job does not make him a good coach all of a sudden, Edinburgh were a handful of penalties away from finishing near bottom of their Heineken Cup group.

Well, i damn sure wouldn't go for Bradley, thats for sure.

I would go with a foreign coach, maybe someone like John Kirwan or maybe Eddie O'Sullivan or what about the Scotsman who was in charge of Georgia at World Cup?

Eddie O' Sullivan

And as for that try/ no try, the guy in front of me had one of those Ref Link things, was raging because Clownshoes awarded an advantage and never went back for it.

Jake White is in a long term contract, not sure how long Jones' is, but we sure aren't going to be buying it out.

Scott Johnson? Now I know you are just trolling.

My personal choice would be John Kirwan.

To anyone else who agrees with me that Robbo should get sacked, who would you replace him with, i have said John Kirwan, surely there is a few names to throw into the ring?

from an outsiders perspective scotland need to learn how to score tries. i can't count the times recently i've read something along the lines of "scotland looking to break their 3,4,5 match loosing streak in this weekends test". you can't expect to win test matches consistantly with out scoring and tires.
weather that is the coaches fault or the quality of the players at the moment i can't say. its obvious something needs to change though.

Yep i agree. Changing coaches ain't gonna change much until the Scottish players can finish off these breaks. The support play isn't good enough in my opinion.

Give it until this summer and I reckon they will be able to. Joe Ansbro coming back from injury soon but, far more importantly, Tim Visser qualifying for Scotland

lets change that for you Dan Parks time at an end, want to see laidlaw and blair start 10 +9, matt scott centre and stuart hogg on bench instead off morrison. (R lamont had an alright game) oh and weir on the bench

What's the excuse gonna be when Laidlaw plays and the backplay doesn't look any better? I wasn't very impressed by him when he came on to be honest he looked like a headless chicken at times.

Frankly with the tools at his disposal, Robinson's not doing a bad job.

By that reckoning, Lancaster should be sacked and Johnston should have been publically flogged. With the tools at their disposal they should be winning every game. I wonder why they don't?

What's that got to do with Scotland? Oh yeah, England bashing...

AR has a tiny pool of frankly average players with the occasional bright spark hitting form. Hardly a foundation to build world beaters.

If you don't think the movement was better when Laidlaw and Blair came on, well.. I can't conceive it. Really can't.

Being points down, the play was too frantic yes, headless chicken, no. Who should've calmed it down? The captain. Of all the Scotland players, who was among the least likely to take control and really rally the guys? The man selected as captain. (and this is not an attack on Ford)

Should the try have been awarded, would you have said the same?

I've always felt that Robinson is an excellent coach, but a poor selector, as shown with his persistence with Parks, de Luca, etc. and I also agree that Townsend should go, as Scotland have the worst attack of any major side in world rugby (Even Russia and Namibia finish better than them) but Robinson should stay a bit longer as he's done excellent work with their defence and installing a typically Scottish spirit of defiance into the side.

I am agreeing with you in principle, Robinson is probably not doing a bad job. However I am intrigued why England have such a large pool of talent yet appear to consistently under perform. Not England bashing, genuinely interested in your thoughts.

Nah their attack is still better than Italy. But that ain't saying much.
