RFU Reports leaked

I dunno, from what I've seen Andrew gets off scot free

However I don't actually think he leaked it to the press, it's more likely to be some random office worker in the RFU who's been offered a few hundred quid for a photo copy of it by the press

There's at least one quote asking why Andrew wasn't fielding media questions.

And I strongly doubt that's the case. My money is squarely on a very ****** off member of the RFU seeking to force some change by making it all public.

The leaking gives the RFU full justification for the blood bath and sackings that are sure to be coming in the next few weeks. It also seems lots of the comments are negative on the players them-selves so the public are more likely to blame the players rather than the RFU.

Where as most even minded rugby people know the problems start at the top and cascade down into the decisions to employ sub-standard coaches etc.

Just because the Ospreys players were a bit diva-ish doesn't mean he can't speculate on who it was
huh.gif

It was said in responce to a comment that suggests Ben Foden has shown diva-ish tendencies in regards to demanding, asking for more money etc.
When that opinion at this time is based on litlle or no evidence. As Mite said "Other that a spot of name calling".

As you have said to speculate is to base an opinion with no conclusive evidence, which of course is his right.

Evidence would suggest that the Ospreys, Henson do display Diva-ish qualities.

You have to wonder whether it would be best to just sack everybody (board, council, coaching staff and players) and start from scratch?

Gavin is a muppet and will forever be a long running gag, but honestly what has he got to do with Englands farcical World Cup?

Did Sidhes crappy stats on their crappy game fall through into the real world so he really is English now?

Probably the most sensible thing you've ever said about English rugby.

I don't know It would seem the younger players may have a little more credit than the senior members.

They seem to have wanted it to be professional and run like there clubs, but the seniors treated it like an old school tour.

Taking the mick for training hard, drinking games etc, etc.

Had to laugh that the irish have ment to have got round the press issue by taking them to the pub as well. That's the way to do it.

If only!

If it could be done then fantastic, but it won't happen sadly. They made record profits if you remember even if the record on the field of play was something to be forgotten....:(

Dann, indeed probably driven by the fact you don't need results to feather your nest.

This whole situation is long past a joke and I think it has reached a point of no return that will end in the entire RFU melting down, pretty much the entire structure being fired by Andrew and PRL walking off into the sunset on its merry own.

Sorry but have you all missed the most shocking revelation! "Borthwick is a phenomenal leader as his rugby knowledge intimidated John Wells"

Perhaps he isnt much of a player but I think he has a future as a coach at Sarries or even England.

BBC annouced the RFU are going to launch an investigation into the leaked investigations.

Given there track records with investigations, it's getting beyond a joke.

We are one of the biggest, if not the biggest RFU's in the world and it's like the lunatics are running the asylum. We are the joke.

Given what you mean by "RFU", fair enough. But who (what) is the RFU today? The day is not long away before the professional game splits from the amateur. Rightly or wrongly. Just look at the FA, and its Premiership, and the Football League. Inevitable, whether you like it or not.

Do you reckon someone will then leak the investigation into the leak of the investigation so then they will have to leak the investigation into the investigation of the leaked investigation.

Or at that point will Twickenham explode and Bath will have to find a new venue for St Georges day?

I have resorted to playing who said what, given that there are not many players to choose from so far I have.

"We had kicking problems and yet almost every morning who do you see swanning around in a polo shirt about to play another round of golf but Alred"
This has got to have come from Mr Wilkinson him-self with his well known kicking OCD, he would not have been amused with the attitude.

"I don't think we understood the impact of Tinds being a member of the Royal Family in a Commonwealth country and the extra interest he would generate."
Who say's rugby players are daft, the smart money is on the front row for this gem, i'll go for Steve Thompson.

"Ben Youngs was rushed back from knee injury and wasn't fit enough."
A bitter and twisted Wigglesworth thinking he should have played more.

"Steve Borthwick was a phenomenal leader. He was so knowledgeable about the game that I'm sure he intimidated John Wells."
I am so surprised at this. I am putting this down to Steve Borthwick.

Oi, there are many fine front-rowers with towering academic achievements. Whilst most locks I have ever seen look like their only purpose in life is to push things, ie Steve Borthwick (Now, I am saying what it looks like he does, not that he is very good at it)

Cockerill has already complained loudly about the state Ben Youngs was returned in; I think the HC game last weekend was his first after the World Cup as Leicester gave him time to fully recover. He was quite palpably not a hundred per cent on the field and we all knew he was injured going into the tournament. I don't see how anyone needs to be bitter to think he was rushed back too quickly.

As for Borthwick, everyone knows he's one of the game's top lineout nerds and you don't serve as Sarries' captain for as long as he has without something about you. He's simply not good enough as a player at international level, but I could well believe he has good leadership and knowledge.
