Leinster's backrow has been absolutely decimated. Shane Jennings, Sean O'Brien and Jamie Heaslip are at the World Cup while Kevin McLaughlin and Dominic Ryan are injured. That leaves two fully contracted players - Leo Auva'a and Rhys Ruddock. Academy backrower Jordi Murphy came off the bench last week so he can expect to start alongside them. Converted second row Ben Marshall would have been next in line but he also injured himself at the weekend! The replacement backrow options are down to Richardt Strauss moving position, Conor Gilsenan or Jordan Coghlan. Gilsenan and Coghlan are just out of school.

You guys really haven't been left with much of a hand with the world cup. Not that surprising considering there's 11 Leinster players in Ireland's matchday 22.

But good look to mr Mark Flanagan who I have never heard of.

And who's Darren Hudson?

Hudson played wing for the Irish U20s in 2010. Looked good at that level.

There's a forgotten man - "Ciaran Ruddock"
What's the story with him and his development, I thought he was to have as much class as Rhys

Flanagan is a former Ireland u20 international. He's a cousin of Devin Toner and is fairly highly rated. About 22 years old.

Hudson is a very solid player. He was impressive in preseason and is getting his chance due to the unavailability of Kearney, Horgan, Conway, McFadden and the shift in position for Fitzgerald.

Ciaran Ruddock is okay but not much more than that. He's Leinster's very own version of Billy Holland. Won't let you down but won't win you a game either. He gets his shot due to the injuries to Dom Ryan and McLaughlin, unavailability of Jennings, O'Brien and Heaslip, the recent departure of Sheriff and the retirements of Keogh and Paul Ryan.

In fairness to Leinster even with so many unavailable that is still a decent RaboDirect team

Scarlets team against Leinster, Saturday 24th September 6.30pm kick off Parc y Scarlets: 15 Dale Ford, 14 Lee Williams, 13 Nick Reynolds 12 Gareth Maule, 11 Andy Fenby, 10 Dan Newton, 9 Ruki Tipuna, 1 Iestyn Thomas (capt), 2 Emyr Phillips, 3 Rhys Thomas, 4 Aaron Shingler 5 Dominic Day, 6 Rob McCusker, 7 Johnathan Edwards, 8 Ben Morgan.
Replacements: Craig Hawkins, Phil John, Rhodri Jones, Damian Welch, Richie Pugh, Gareth Davies, Aled Thomas, Liam Williams.

Dale Ford has a hell of a boot. He should get a bit of gametime with Moggsy broken and Daniel Evans' form.

Yep, a win is a win. The main positive as I see it is Ian Madigan. Not that he played great but he's getting a string of games at 10 to show he can be a capable backup for Jonny Sexton. Madigan has lead Leinster to 2 wins and 1 loss in 3 starts this season and has home games against Aironi and Connacht up next. If he can guide Leinster to 2 wins in those games, it'll do his confidence the world of good. He looks a lot better this season than he did in the last campaign.

Snoop I agree and here in Munster and I'm sure up in Dublin it the same that the goal at start was still be in a healthy position when the internationals return and also try expand squad by testing fringe lads and it great to see all 4 provinces are doing very well without internationals
