RaboDirect Pro12: Round 11/12

That last one is Adam Byrne btw, I've never heard of him.
He's burst on the scene this year with a series of excellent performances for the As. Came through the clubs route rather than the schools system which probably explains his relative anonymity. He's fresh off an outstanding two try performance for the As on Sunday against Jersey. Big future ahead of him. An intelligent player, he's just 19 and built like a brick shithouse.

Has Reid played much at fullback? Hope Byrne gets a good go but does anyone know what's happened to Hudson injured or just not being picked?

Loads of rumours circulating that protesters are going to *attempt* to disrupt the Ulster game tonight, bunch of ****ing idiots.

Sorry I'm not going to start an argument on this forum about it - just look on the BBC news.

Im guessing not many people are watching the match - Ulster are playing so poor.

Ulster 0 - 6 Leinster

Jackson finds the kicking boots, 6-3. Neither side's really hitting their stride yet. Looks like a foul night.

Great scrum. That's the second time we've dominated.

Edit: 2 shocking decisions. Henderson come through the gate, Leinster player was isolated and John Afoa was on his feet. What was wrong there?

If Henderson was in at the side, then what the hell was Cullen to begin with I don't know... fair reward for some good driving though, this is the most fragile I've seen our defence all season.

Not often you see a penalty try given that quickly, slightly harsh I feel.

Anyone else having problems on the sound on the BBC site?

I know we got the scrum in the end, but this ref is a disgrace. Some decisions have been really speculative, shouldn't really have an a Irish ref in an Irish derby.

Time to bring Marshall on?

Two things apparent from this match....aside from Clancy who for him has not been bad tonight but agree strange a Munster man reffing a South v North Irish clash........Leinster do not have the depth of talent needed for a top team and Healy's obliteration at scrum time and early bath probably spells the end of his Lions chances.................

I disagree with this .. 3 European Championships in 4 years suggests otherwise.
At loosehead we've Cian Healy - Lions contender and on the Bench VDM Springboks player , Cronin and Struass are both very good hookers , then in Tighthead we've Ross...solid. Bent is an unknown quantity still in my opinion but I wouldn't read too much in to tonight's scrumming...Ulster in my opinion have the most destructive scrum in europe at the moment.

And the shadow backline that was put out tonight does not do us justice.

However I do believe we're not even close to the team we were at the end of last year at the moment.
Clermont can walk this cup if nobody rises to the challenge.

I get the sneaking feeling Leinster will come good though.

Tony you talk some rubbish. Clancys refereeing was disgraceful - even the commentators admitted it. Best shouldn't have been carded, he had his hands up and his legs were trapped, besides the ball wasn't even coming back for them - Henderson was on the ball on his feet. Atleast 3-4 of their penalties shouldn't have been awarded.
Leinster not a top team? They have incredible depth. Maybe Ulster just have more? I just love how people find it hard to compliment Ulster and just keep pretending Leinster are the best team in every department. Because they really aren't.

Healys chances for a Lions Jersey gone? Don't think so. He's still probably the front runner.

A full Leinster team would be.

15- Kearney
14- Nacewa
13-BOD
12-Darcy
11-Fitzgerald
10-Sexton
9-Reddan
8-Heaslip
7-Jenninga
6-O'Brien
5-Cullen
4-McCarthy
3-Ross
2-Strauss
1-Healy.

I genuinely thinking as objectively as I possibly can reckon that should this team get fielded could beat any club side on the planet.

Not till next season lad;)

Cullens been no great shakes this season so far imo, he's only added to Leinster's lack of depth in the second row.
