I think it can be the rugby fans' equivalent to Football Manager series. Of course the rugby playing world is not as big, but there are a few big countries.


France and UK nations have 65 million people each and the game is big.

South Africa has 51 million people and the game is big.

Countries like Italy and Argentina also have big populations and rugby is growing there.

AUS has 23 million and union is quite big still despite other sports.

NZ have small pop but big following


There are a number of markets for a rugby game but we need USA, China or India to take up the game!!!!

Think Derek meant hide names of players from itm, Currie league etc rather than have invented players in those teams? Basically whether it is possible to do with those leagues what you did with Super Cup? Correct if I got wrong gist derek

I'm trying to change Lydiate from Racing to the Ospreys, no option to do it in the editor. Just a thought for future editors. Also when I go back to my save game after editing it won't let me advance, just crashes. Any ideas?

I think I have been to your home town - if that is your home town? Near the Brecon Beacons? Everyone told me it rains all the time around there, but it was amazing and quite hard!

I might be wrong, but perhaps it is not possible to edit squads for a ready existing saved game? I also agree it would be nice to have a few features for the editor - I think a few people have now mentioned it. The game is really good though, and I guess it takes time to build and improve.

I think it would be awesome if the domestic SH teams' players had distorted names. Would this be possible at some point in the future do you reckon, instead of totally fictional players? It would make editing these teams much quicker, as it would only be a matter of adjusting a few letters in each name. At the moment the players in these squads (who are not real) have to be deleted and then replaced entirely with someone else if you see what I mean.

Adding them from zero takes too long, especially when I have been taking work home with me in evenings!

I just want to say that the new update is realy cool. It makes the game better.

I don't know if i a m the only one but sometimes there is a bug. A player take the ball and no one try to tackle him. The opposite players are just running close...

An other bug. I'm playing with the french pro d2 club Aurillac. After 2 season my team was promoted in top 14. Great! But big bug in the Colts and Academy leagues tables. My team is nowhere, there is 2 stade rochalais team and the results aren't the good ones.
I don't if someone have the same problem?

Hello !

I just bought the game yesterday but unfortunately I can't use it properly because I can't run the game in fullscreen... When i launch the game i have the little window asking me which resolution I want and I tick "Full screen". But when I launch it the game is windowed and when I try to do "Alt+enter" to go on full screen, I Have a black screen (in full screen yeah !) and I have to stop the game.

Does anyone had the same issue and could help me.... I WANT TO PLAY !!!!

Hi, how is it possible to promote colts to the academy and the academy players to the first team or demote players to the academy?

Greetings all.

I might buy this game, but I have read mixed things about it, so would like some clarification on some issues if that is ok?

1) The Steam forum seems to be restricted (in terms of posting) to people who own the game? This is not usually the case with other games?

2) A number of people have mentioned on here, Steam, Facebook and Twitter that the editor is a bit of a let down compared with the way it was presented before the game? Is this true? I am used to Football Manager. How does it compare to this in terms of editing things to do with clubs, facilities, countries and players?

3) I understand it wasn't possible to get licensed Southern Hemisphere leagues and players? I have read though that the Super 15 is stand alone, and that the Super Franchises are not integrated into the three domestic leagues? Someone suggested that the players in the Super 15 only play in that competition and not in the domestic competitions? Is this the case? Hopefully not, as although I am a Bristol and England fan, I find the NZ ITM Cup, SA Currie Cup and the Super 15 the most entertaining competitions in the world!

4) How good is the game from a tactical point of view (subjective I know!)?

There is a lot of misinformation about games. Answers would be greatly appreciated. I will hold off buying the game until I know the actual state of the editor, Southern Hemisphere leagues, the game engine etc.

We badly need a good rugby series. I hope this is it!

Currently managing Scarlets on the game and I've noticed that I have two games in two days at the start of November. This is probably the same with all the Welsh regions so it'd be appreciated if you could fix this. I'd also like it if it would be easier to move players from club to club on the editor. But other than that, I've really enjoyed playing the game so far, so much better than PRM!

Yeah i tried with alt+enter but the game crashes. And no i do not want to play windowed i bought it and i want to use it in fullscreen.

First team to the Academy in the Main Squad -> Players screen

As fans have discovered you can create new clubs leagues and players by using the editor to edit existing data.
The southern hemisphere leagues and players are unlicensed. The Super Championship is a composite domestic league at the top of a promotion and relegation structure involving Australia Division 1, New Zealand Division 1, South Africa Division 1, Australia Division 2A, Australia Division 2B and New Zealand Division 2. Etc.

Hi just checked the game's specifications as mentioned on Steam. Have you tried changing your screen resolution to one of those mentioned? I hope this helps as the game is very good , easily the best rugby management game I have played.
