Thanks, so it is just age that doesn't affect it as well as playing experience.
Hello Dave. Great effort to you and team on the game, I'm really enjoying it.
Is it possible to have anyone other than outhalf as kicker? I sometimes move my 10 to 12 and bring on another 10 but the new 10 takes kicking duties even though player moved to 12 is better goalkicker. I also have a fullback that I would like to take kicks.
Also, I think the attrition stat could be tweaked as I went through a full season and it never affected my team selection, I could put same team out every week, barring injuries, which could also be a little more frequent to reflect real life. Cheers.
Great to hear that you are enjoying the game, your comments are very much appreciated by all working on the game.
We will be getting back to you shortly, on the points you have mentioned.
Kind Regards
Dave
Hi dmcattack,
you can only assign a potential development coach to youngsters . Attributes coches are for Academy and A Team.
Thanks for info. Much appreciated. So the Super 15 Competition is a stand alone competition but you can also get promoted to it if you do a career game with a team from Australia Division 1, New Zealand Division 1, South Africa Division 1, Australia Division 2A, Australia Division 2B and New Zealand Division 2? If you play as one of those domestic teams, do you play with/against the players from the Super XV, or are those players kept "elevated" within the Super XV squads? Basically I am slightly puzzled as people have said that if you play as a team like the Cheetahs in the SA Currie Cup (South African), you don't have any of the good players, as they are only in the Cheetah's Super 15 squad? Will the likes of Willie le Roux (albeit an unlicensed version) be in the Cheetah's Currie Cup squad or am I right to assume that the players from clubs that play Super Rugby have been (bizarrely) taken out of their domestic squads?
Has the same thing been done with European Champions Cup etc, with Saracens players only being in the continental competition and not domestic one?
The editor doesn't sound like it provides a "fully customisable" experience based on others posts, but will read a little more.
Once again thanks. I just want to work out a few details before parting with £30!
You can play the Super 15 as a stand alone competition, using the correct players - albeit with slightly wrong names. Derek has posted in the Mods section some great logos, and a database file with the correct Super 15 player names.Hi. I don't suppose Dave or maybe another player can clarify my questions about the leagues in aus nz and sa? I know the names of the domestic leagues in the game from someone else (Australia Division 1, New Zealand Division 1, South Africa Division 1, Australia Division 2A, Australia Division 2B and New Zealand Division 2) but wondered whether someone could answer my questions about those leagues?
If you play as one of those domestic teams, do you play with/against the players from the Super XV, or are those players kept "elevated" within the Super XV squads? I think these leagues are quite important in world rugby so I do hope we can play as them with the right players (with spelling mistakes of course due to licensing).

If you want to play as an Aussie, South African or New Zealand domestic team in the domestic league(s), you can also qualify for the Super 15. These teams are made up of "made up" players and none of the Super 15 players as far as I am aware are in these domestic squads. I attempted to change the names, but the job was too big especially as the Super 15 playing unions wouldn't have enough "real" players in the squad, unless players were duplicated - which wouldn't make sense - imagine two Willem Alberts in the Bok team - one from the Sharks' squad of the Currie Cup and one from the Super 15 sharks squad!
The Super 15 is very playable if you play it on its own. I personally am not bothering playing with Southern Hemisphere domestic teams as the players are fictional, and with the best players absent it wouldn't be as fun.
I hope I have summarised well. Apologies if not. I am sure Dave will be able to let you know more.
One thing I always found fun on Football Manager, is "learning" other countries domestic teams and players through playing different leagues. It would be a dream if down the line this game had this level of detail. I may have misheard somewhere, but is true that some football scouts use FM to shortlist potential players for additional scouting? That game has become huge now - I would love to know how many people worked on it, helping with research etc!
I am having some issues with the game crashing. I have gone through pre-season with no problems, but after the first league game of the season as it goes to man of the match screen the game crashes, saying RUTM encountered an unexpected error so the programme had to close or something similar. I have loaded from the autosave and tried again, but 3 times have reached the end of the game only for it to crash. Has anyone experienced any similar issues or could suggest a solution?
Many thanks.
Get a good development coach and good manager, both at least 4 stars. Then EVERY month, fire the ****(bad) players and sign more. I have 6 world class players in 2 years just in my colts
Thanks Bakkies and Dave. Will hold off buying for now. I have a lot of work the next month or so anyway so would not have lots of time for playing.
Can I ask: How much influence do you have over the kicking side to rugby in this game?
