Premiership Rugby 23/24 Semi finals

Hahahahaha, Tompkins held his hand out to help Lawes out then took it away last minute - such a pr!ck

Don't know why there's so much discussion about that ruck, clearly off his feet - Lawes complaining saying he was trying to lift the ball....yeah that's the point? He went off his feet in the process, and that's what the penalty was for

Engaging match so far. Already looks like Saracens just have more big game management.

Austin Healey is hard to listen to. I don't think his co-commentators like him that much either....

Lovely try

Edit: That final pass, a beauty, but looks aggressively flat on that replay

Lovely try from saints, think they need to be a bit careful couple of times they have tackled guards which are not really part of the ruck.

Wah wah wee wah!
Outta nowhere - great hands from George to finish that

Edit: Boooooo, let the boys play

Sarries back 3 is so bad under competitive high balls, Freeman had no right to take that kick especially with no Saracens player even trying to get to it

Freeman is class under the high ball, don't recall him being this good.

Didn't see the time, so arrived late. Just seen the 2 penalties.
Have Sarries actually stood back 10m yet? Or is the Northampton lawn mower 7m wide, rather than the orthodox 5m?

Saints defence is so good at resetting/keeping their shape - just suffocating, Saracens can't work any space at all, doesn't matter how many dummy runners/passing moves they run

Half time can't come soon enough for Sarries, Sarries starting to unravel.

Forgot Saracens have gone 6:2, having to bring Lozowski on early could cost them considering they're running a bit ragged already

yeah I though benches might be key and might be a reason to start BillyV let's be honest he's not really bringing the impact of several seasons ago at any interval, he hasn't looked as sluggish and unwilling to put the effort in this game though, T Willis is pretty good but I wouldn't really call him a game changer. The two Theo's could bring some real go forward though if the scoreboards aren't too far apart. Cracking game so far.

Saints have definitely settled into their game. Sarries not out of this yet, but a confident Saints are dangerous.

Considering there's not much breakdown threat from Saints, outside of Lawes, Saracens are throwing three clearers into rucks they're likely to retain regardless - really leaving them short of numbers when Saints are putting maybe one guy in

Don't tell them!

Saracens back row is more dynamic than their back line which is the issue for them now.
Parton, Lewington, Goode just isn't it.
Sprink coming in a Cinti moving to wing will prob help but they def need another wing option.
Parton is a much better 15 than wing.

If I was Sarries I would splash the cash on Loader and bring in the London Irish back 3 of 11. Loader, 14. Cinti, 15. Parton

Some impact in the forwards off the bench for Saracens, but it's the backs that are the issue

Like in the 22 then, two opportunities to spin it wide but the inside backs didn't trust the outside so cut back inside
Honestly could just put Earl and Dan into the backline, give them some form of explosive carrying - there's no acceleration in the backs at all

Nah eff that, I don't want Sarries to be good.
