Premiership Rugby 21/22 - Rd 22

Just to clarify something, seperation is the important factor in scoring a try when ball is carried over but if its a kick and chase type try where you dive on the ball i thought it was control you needed. I may be very wrong
Possibly, though I haven't heard that in a while. It used to be if the ball was on the ground all it needed was downwards pressure, but if it was in the air you needed some kind of control. Considering this new rule about separation being in control of a ball in the air doesn't make much sense anymore. I think the aim was to stop less tries being chalked off. In that case surely it would be the same for kick and chases and you just need to ground the ball.

If the ball isn't over the line can Northmore stick his hands underneath the ball? Feel like that should be playing the ball on the floor.

What are the coaches feeding these guys? Tempo has been so high all game.

Exactly this. Care's yellow cards are all technical offences. Cynicism is not as frowned upon as foul play.

Can we all apprciate the absolute gas of the Chiefs prop Schickerling! About 01:55 in!

Also very happy with the comeback.

Seeing it again, I'm not so sure that 2nd try shold have been allowed. 2-3 chiefs dive straight over the top to seal it off, preventing Clark from challenging for the ball (and he's actively told to get out of there by Barnes).

Never mind
