Looks like 1-2 matches a week are being livestreamed on TouTube - Wednesday evening rugby, with lots of premiership academy kids - especially for Exeter, Bath, Hartpury and Loughbourough. Presumably Nottingham have a lot from Saints as well.
Some really good rugby on display

So far this season:
Nottingham v Loughborough

Loughborough v Hartpury

Cardiff Met v Cardiff

Cardiff Met v Bath

Good to see some success stories suspect it will keep on growing as well.
I know at Tigers we seem to have a pretty clear pathway of

Tigers senior
Nottingham Rugby
Uni/Leicester Lions

I mean if BUCS rugby keeps improving with prem clubs investing more into the uni coaching system as well I could see an actual draft happening for the unregistered lads.

Game in question. Won't ever be big but still every bit of rugby growth needs capitalising

This should be the pattern across the country.
Prem clubs become franchises, with maximum squad size of 35 players all over 18.
A reserve squad of 10 players who are dual registered with either a Champ club or Uni.
A draft from BUCS every year.

We've got some sort of partnership with MMU, development pathway,
They're not super league though - possibly the one below? Not sure how the pyramid works (is it even a pyramid or is super league separate and no promotion/relegation?)

So all prem clubs currently in existence then are renamed franchises. What does that help or solve?

Not being sarcastic I just can’t u deans when people talk about franchises what they expect or want out of it.

They are only responsible for their squad.
Anyone under 18 is not allowed to sign.
18-21 can sign a 'pre-agreement' with the PRL as a whole league but can only play for Uni or Champ team.
At 21, drafted to a franchise or to a Champ side as a Reserve squad player, who can only be used as injury cover.

You could do all that without the franchise piece if the money that goes to the academies are moved to the unis.

Personally I think the draft idea is terrible. Imagine being 18-19 and loving big city life only to be drafted to a hell hole like sarries. Or imagine loving the countryside and being drafted into a big city.

Or imagine being really close to your family in Exeter only to be drafted to Newcastle.

These are young lads, in the US where people get silly money in a draft, they move their family with them and buy a massive house and 4 cars. That doesn’t exist and travelling is hard in the uk.

You’d quite possibly have players playing for a club they don’t want to. The rivalry in the uk is real and it doesn’t feel like that is there in US sports.
