Now that the dust has settled across Europe, Planet Rugby thought it was only right to dish out a dose of praise to the star players of Round Six.
There was certainly a crescendo to the final week of the 2010/11 Pools as Wasps stunned reigning champions Toulouse in a result that sends Guy Noves' men off to Biarritz. Northampton finished at the summit of the top eight standings and will host Ulster. See the draw in full right here.
Jim Mallinder's charges were the only team to progress from the group stages with a 100 per cent record. If Northampton, champions in 2000, can overcome Ulster - in a game set to be played in either Coventry or Milton Keynes - they will host either Perpignan or Toulon in a home semi.
The Aviva Premiership gave only two quarter-final qualifiers, with Saints joined in the last eight by midlands rivals Leicester. The Tigers, who progressed as one of the leading runners-up, face new favourites Leinster in a repeat of 2009's final, set to be staged at Aviva Stadium.
Update done...let's see who earned their PR stripes.
15 Ben Foden (Northampton) - Good news for MJ ahead of the Six Nations, Foden is in red-hot form and was key to Saints. A mention for Richard Haughton and Isa Nacewa.
14 Iain Balshaw (Biarritz) - It was very tough to leave out Joe Ansbro after his all-action effort but there was some nostalgia on Saturday as Balshaw played like the old days.
13 Brian O'Driscoll (Leinster) - Some readers are obviously not fans of BOD going off last week's comments. Ben Jacobs did come close but O'Driscoll was yet again a rock in blue.
12 Maxime Mermoz (Perpignan) - We were impressed by Anthony Allen once again in the Leicester midfield, however, one source gave a huge tip of the cap to this French centre.
11 David Lemi (Wasps) - The former Bristol man was electric at Adams Park and it was arguably fitting that he was to claim the match-winning try with a last-minute effort.
10 James Hook (Ospreys) - We were going for Toby Flood but what was in front of him hardly compares to what Hook dealt with. Moved to ten late on, Wales' maestro was class.
9 Dimitri Yachvili (Biarritz) - His charge-down score took the wind out of Bath's sails and then it was the bog-standard, kicking his goals and marshalling to oust Florian Cazenave.
8 Jordan Crane (Leicester) - Perpignan eight Henry Tuilagi gave his usual destructive performance with metres made but three tries can't be topped. Crane for England, please.
7 Imanol Harinordoquy (Biarritz) - Forced off against Ulster last week, the skipper made up for lost time with another 80 minutes that re-confirms his position as one of the best.
6 Sean O'Brien (Leinster) - Noticed that nothing has been said about Jamie Heaslip's absence? Yes O'Brien was at eight again but again, we had to get him into our line-up.
5 Alun-Wyn Jones (Ospreys) - The international lock came into some criticism following last week's defeat at London Irish but responded well against Toulon and deserved a try.
4 Simon Shaw (Wasps) - It is frightening to wonder what will happen to this veteran's body when he eventually hangs up his boots. Shaw rolled back the years with a fine game.
3 Dan Cole (Leicester) - Much of the credit for Crane's treble must go to his front-row, who dominated matters. Will Leicester miss Martin Castrogiovanni if he leaves? Not on this.
2 Guilhem Guirado (Perpignan) - This hooker continues to put his hand up and we expect him to play a role behind William Servat this Six Nations as Dimitri Szarzewski sits it out.
1 Marcos Ayerza (Leicester) - Mr Consistent was up to his usual tricks again on Sunday as he combined solidity up front with impressive mobility in the loose that wore down Treviso.
