Player Transfers/roster update index thread

No chance of that disco125, as i wouldn't have time and i don't have excel on my pc.. but i intend to release a text file that will have all the players listed in a little detail.

Has anyone tried a roster file from 06 on 08 yet.. it might work anyway if they havent changed much. I would bet the big, and fsh number file are the same as well, just with newer ones for Portugal and stuff like that.

08 would be awesome with the seperate RWC and test kits for a mod.. 4 kits.. you could do a lot with that.

btw don't forget to correct the french fly-half.. oh what's his name.. oh i know.. it's Raphael Ibanez!

It's likely the game will be exactly the same stats wise. If they didnt change kits and things like that, then why would they change stats of players in the 06 game?

Heres all the Guinness Premiership changes for next season so far

Thanks mate. I have most of those in my roster update, but there were a few that were sketchy regarding who's leaving who.

Cheers! :)

hey fat, i tried your rosters with 08 but no good! unable to load roster was all i could get, its a shame that all your effort is for the 06 version im sure someone will do an updated 08 soon ,i would try but dont have the time!

I only bought 06 a few months ago, and i like it.. i figured that if 08 was not much of an improvement, then people will stick with 06 rather than shell out more money.

Thanks for trying it though, i can at least provide accurate rosters for teams with player names at the very least. I appreciate not many people know Treviso's starting XV for example.

Look up a guy called Ozzy on the editing forum. You may know him already. In his sig, he has a new 08 roster update specifically for the new game. Might be worth a look.

Rua Tipoki (Blues) to Munster. Tried using my 06 roster in 08 but it didn't work. The rosters are a disgrace, Munster still have Henderson and Cullen for God's sake!!!!!

One question please.. has Cullen retired?

and also.. i just want to say that all the Guinness Premiership teams in my roster patch are now COMPLETE. Same with the other clubs.. nearly there.

One latest transfer too, Fran Leonelli (FB, ARG) to Saracens from Glasgow.

someone mentoined Aidan McCullen there formerly of Toulouse, hes at London Irish now i believe.

Scott Lawson (Sale)

if i think of any more il add them later

I have those players, apart from the 7's players like Adamson, and the Borders players, who aren't in the game.

Kelly Brown.. he isn't in the game.. that's the backrower that plays for Scotland in the 6 nations? He wears a scrum cap it hink.. please confirm when you have time murphy8.

I will post my guinness premiership squad lists in the next few days. I think i will also replace the representative teams (Australia A and NZ Maori probably) with an Italian Super10 XV and French Top14 XV.

There are lots of good players in the database that should be in teams, like Brive, Montauban, Viadana etc, but those teams can't be added.

I did think though.. it might be possible to make a NH and a SH mod, where the european teams can be replaced with Air New Zealand Cup teams, and the french, celtic and italian teams can be adjusted to Currie Cup.. you'd have a cool Currie Cup and Air New Zealand Cup competition which would be like the Heineken Cup.

The only problem is that you'd need two versions of the game and a switch to switch from MOD to MOD.

For Edinburgh:

Brackets = real name

Firstly i shippe dout the deadwood that are no longer there:

T. Filise, Centre (Tom Phillip)
D. Horwill, Prop (Dave Hewett)
T. Blockrider, Back Row/Lock (Todd Blackadder)
F. Prince, Lock (Fergus Pringle)
P. George, Centre
A. Mander, Fly Half

Then i performed the transfers out:

D. Hill, Hooker (Douggie Hall) to Glasgow
A Kellock, Lock to Glasgow
S. Murray, Lock to Montabaun
S. Taylor, Back Row to Stade Francais
M. De Rillo, Wing/Centre (Marcus Di Rollo) to Toulouse

F. Leonelli, Wing/FB to Saracens (via Glasgow)
R. Lesson, Scrum Half (Rory Lawson) to Gloucester
A. Stephenson, Back Row (Ally Strokosch) to Gloucester
M. Pike, Wing/Center to Montabaun

Then i edited the names of the remaining players or replaced them with the international versions:

A. Hoge, Back Row into Ally Hogg
M. Brail, Scrum Half to Mike Blair
P. Garman, Fly Hlaf to Phil Godman
S. Westber, Wing to Simon Webster
H. Sothal, FB/Centre to Hugo Southwell

C. Smithe, prop to Craig Smith
S. Creaser, back row to Simon Cross
D. Hodgson, fly half to Duncan Hodge
M. Masters, Back Row/Lock to Matt Mustchin
M. Dell, Centere to Matt Dey

Transfers in, most of which i had to create from Scratch:

A. Allori, Prop (Argentina)
S. Cross, Prop
Lawrie, Hooker
Turnbull, Lock
R. Rennie, Flanker
A. Macdonald, Flanker/N8
B. Meyer, Scrum Half (New Zealand)
S. Larkham, Fly Half from Brumbies
N. De Luca, Centre/FB - the main transfer, the future of Scottish Rugby
C. Mcrae, Centre/FB/Fly Half
B. Cairns, Centre/Wing
A. Easson, Centre/FB
Maxwell, Wing from Ulster
M. Robertson, Wing
C. Hamilton, Lock

all done...

Thanks for that, that is extremely helpful.. i changed the names already, and some of the transfers players (allori) are in the game already.. hopefully the final rosters will be ready by the end of august.. just to accomodate for new transfers.

Anyone know the definitive club for Junior Poluleuligaga (Samoan test SH) next season? I have seen him signed for both Saracens and Clermont.

Btw, has anyone here got any Super 14's updates?

Lots of players are or have left Super 14, but has anyone got any idea who is replacing them?

My Super 14 roster will be decimated if i take away all the transfers..

most of the s14 teams aren't named till ages, only one i can think of is evans to the blues possibly
