Guscott says Ireland have no world class players before naming 10 if them in his team of the tournament. He clearly doesn't have a huge amount of confidence in the quality if NH rugby. If Ireland don't have world class players what on earth do England have? Second class? If you have to be an undeniable member of a world XV the only players that would make the cut is Ioane and maybe Retallick.
I've always thought world class was a weird label in any sport anyway especially given how everyone has a different standard in mind when they use the term but however you spin it Murray Sexton and Furlong are definitely at that level. O'Brien is there when he's fit as well. Henshaw doesn't really have a the running game that you need to be world class 13 but used properly at 12 he's fantastic. Earls and Healy on current form as well although that's more subjective. Give Ringrose and Ryan another year with no major injuries and they could be there as well. Getting a bit carried away now but it's a silly thing from Guscott that I've spent far to much time going on about.
