Phil Kearns worst commenator in RWC

I have to say this guy has never been impressive behind the mike ever and his performances in this World Cup just kept getting worse. I didnt think it could any worse until last night. He was trully dreadful in his attempt to consciously bad mouth every little thing the AB's did particularly Mc Caw. I'm not sure what it is, maybe jealousy that Fitzpatrick toyed with him for years I really cant explain it but the guy has issues. I sincerely wished I had any other commentary last night. How more educated types like Kafer put up with him is beyond me. The rest seemed decent enough. Martin is a little based but will give credit where its due. Kearns is a different type of animal, what I dont know. He really owes it to himself to hear some commentary from other countries or just give it away.

I agree. It's time for Foxsports to build a credible team so Kearns and Martyn need to go. Kafer has grown on me to the point where I think he is actually excellent. What's more is he constantly undermines Kearns.

Yeah, hate him. You'll find there are people who like him though. When the forum did a poll for which commentator they'd like to see used for RWC 2011 (the game), Phil Kearns was one of the leading names. It's annoys the heck out of my. It's actually my biggest gripe about the Sky Sports/Fox. Giving former rugby players positions in broadcasting when they can't call a game. I want professionalism, objectivity, clear communication skills and a good knowledge of the game as my first priority. I don't wan't a guy spending 100 minutes trying to be funny and over-opinionated, I can get that at the pub.

Guys like Kearns and Marto are great for the Australian derby games, lots of good banter. But when it comes to tests I can't stand them, not funny anymore.

In the UK, Phil Vickery was a dreadful commentator, I hope he is never seen in the commentary box again

I personally enjoyed Dallaglio and Quinlan's commentary though, they were both good

In South Africa we have one who is horrible... Warren Brosnihan. He is as bad as Kearns and Vickery haha

NZ have bias commentators as well haha its funny though because i always like watching the game with the opposition's commentary on. Its far better hearing them moan and being bias towards their team than it is hearing our commentary team moaning and being bias.

The Australian Commentators as a collective are shocking. After watching the Semi between NZ and Aus I decided to dl the match and watch it over and over, problem was, the recording had the Aussie commentators and man, can you get any worse?

In saying that, the commentator I dislike the most is Tony Johnson, constantly get's the players names wrong and he's even called a player by a player's name who wasn't even on the field. He's shocking, every match he calls he always calls the wrong player names.
