Good a reason as any

I got choice of BBC or Sky to watch it. Might go BBC to avoid the ads.

Superbowl Sunday

This will be my 5th Superbowl, my first was, and is still my favourite, Superbowl 43. Think this one will be a cracker too, I can't wait. I got San Fran winning by 10 although the cinderella story will be for Ray Lewis to end carrer as Superbowl winner and I bet if Baltimore win they make him MVP for sentimentality's sake

Ray was MVP in the last Super Bowl he was at, but because of his involvement with the Murder Trial it was Ravens QB Trent Dilfer that got to say the famous words that the usual MVP get's to say.

For me I would love for Ravens to win and give a great send off to Ray Lewis. I still think they are the side to beat, the 49ers are good but I can't see them getting past the Ravens.

I'll be watching on the BBC, great coverage and as you said Iain no adverts.

Its a cliched battle of a strong defence (Ravens) and an attack with plenty of weapons (SF). Its an intriguing one to call, you have to take into account the experience of Flacco, although small its still more than Kaepernick has

49ers have the better defence, the better running game. So go Ravens.

Is Mike Carlson doing the bbc coverage? As i do like his weird humour.

Mark Chapman is anchoring, aside from that I dunno, I'll try to find out.

Edit: Yes he is

Shocked that #52 is 9/1 to be MVP, considering his status within the game and how the Americans love a "Hollywood" ending those are great odds. Contemplating a cheeky fiver on it

With who is that?

Wow what a superbowl, one of the greats for sure....could have done without the power outage though.

I reckon the 49ers were robbed.

There is no way that last "no-call" was right. It was either holding or pass interference. Should have been a minimum 5 yard penalty and first down to SF

Yeah - certainly tough call. Was actually hoping for the Ravens to win - but can't help but feel the 49ers were hard done by, especially after that come back.

I'm so ****ing ecstatic right noW! :D It's like October 2011 all over again for me!!! :D :D :D

BTW, as we say in rugby - it's nbot that there should/shouldn't have been a call -was it consistent with how the game was called? You'd have to say yes. Only blatant stuff was being called (that DPI on Torrey) roughing the QB against Ngata etc.

You could also argue the late hit (about 3 metres out of bounds) on Joe.

Close game - no one was robbed (if anythign the Ravens were robbed by the mysterious power outage which should no doubt be te 49ers MVP).

In any case - can;t take this away from the Ravens. :)

The officials missed a few calls in favour of the Ravens early on. Also the outage of the lights robbed Ravens momentum too.

Happy for the Ravens, underdogs for most of the play offs! Glad to see Ray sign off in style.

To be fair overall I think the Ravens deserved it, as gutted as I am to say that as a 9ers fan.

They had the upper hand overall, but what a comeback attempt, I hope we build on this team and I feel the next 3/4 years we can challenge and complete our Quest for 6.

Well done Baltimore.

The 49ers have a heck of team. AS long as they can keep the core; they'll make another run easy. Oh, and as long as Jim doesn't Shannahan Kaepernick and looks after him! :p
