Ray Lewis = McCaw of the NFL. ;)

My Ravens go one more in the play-offs. Just happy they won for Uncle Ray for his last home game. While the Ravens may not win, I still think it's closer than the last time these two teams met.

I know it's a long shot, but I'm hoping my Texans learn from their mistakes and beat the Patriots this weekend.

I thought it would go the way it did bar Redskins - Seahawks but as soon as I saw RGIII banged up, you just knew Seahawks would win.

RG3 was injured going into the play offs. That being said, Seahawks deserved the win and would have won even if RG3 was fully fit. Defensively the Seahawks were amazing after a slow start. 24 unanswered points tell the story, including a 2-point conversion

RG3 out for 6-8 months. Should be fit by next season. Amazed that the NFL are still happy to put players out who are hurt. Hence why they are in this whole head injury mess. I know it is a tough sport but you can't let a player go on clearly hurt. Even when he wants to play the RG3 collapse at the end of the match was horrible.

Agreed.

I see the NFL's approach to their nonchalance view (and Americans to a certain extent) on a more strict "only form tackling" approach (and in smoe cases vitriolic opposition to any thing that tells them what to do or make them look like to what they perceive as "soft"...) as the main issue here.

All this launching (by a defender) and just throwing a shoulder at another human being; given that they're a bit bigger (ion average) than your average rugby player - is the problem. They can rectify this by making certain changes - but it will always be the gridiron culture (players, coaches, fans) and to a general extent, Americans in general's resistance to this predominantly in the attempt to not look 'sissy' that will roadblock this.

Heck even league is taking a more hard-line approach to the shoulder-only tackles.

It's not gonna make the league any less fun to watch.

Great game right now between Baltimore and Denver!!!

Tell me about it. I should be in bed. Ravens should have it in the bag, the kick/punt returning by Denver was amazing. Great play at the end of the 4th by Baltimore. Would like to see them win for Lewis.

Unreal overtime action by the Ravens. Gutted for Manning but the dream for Ray is still alive.

Kapernick ruined the Packers last night.

Both matches went the way I wanted, especially the GB-SF match. I am getting sick of people talking up Green Bay like they are the 86 Bears. They have a elite QB but just good offense, bad defense. They just got exposed last night by the 49-ers. Their QB Colin Kaepernick ran for 200 yards, a record fot a QB, including regular season matches. That is amazing! With Kaepernick, Wilson and Griffin, the NFL is changing. Running QB's are no longer a rarity in this league.

Ravens deserved the win but really need to work on their special teams. Conceding 2 TD's from kick returns in a play-off is worrying.

The Ravens-Broncos game was a cracker. You should take a recording of that and show it to any naysayer of the NFL and see their opinion change. It had everything. Seems Ray Lewis is having more "1 last game"' moments than Shane Williams did.

I did predict a GB win so got that a bit wrong, mightily impressed with the 49ers, they have plenty of weapons on offence and adding a new dimension that Smith never game in the QB rushing game. Was a phenomenal effort from Kaepernick, could be the making of the lad. On that note I feel Alex Smith may be done in SF. Seems Harbaugh believes in #7 more so a new team where he is the main QB might be needed for Smith, there are plenty of choices

Todays games will have to be some games to beat last nights in terms of quality

I was getting a slight man crush on Russell "to small for the NFL" Wilson. After showing up Luck and RG3 to some degree.

Now that the SeaHawks are out, Ravens are the team who I would like to see win followed by SF.

Pretty lady parts! :D

So Championship games tonight. Your predictions chaps

I got 49ers and Ravens to win. I've gone for Ravens as I'm bored of hearing how awesome the Pats are in the playoffs. Also #52. And 49ers over Atlanta purely cos of the 7-14 points Kaeprnick adds to that offence

Check this hit from the late game

So stoked! Just happy to beat the bigoted, arrogant Boston fans and make the SB. So proud.

#GoRavens and may the best Harbaugh win.

Comparison of San Francisco 49er fans seeing off/supporting their guys as opposed to Baltimor Ravens fans:

It's hard to think of two more opposite cities in the United States, except for the fact they are both historic ports they essentially have nothing in common.

Superbowl Sunday

This will be my 5th Superbowl, my first was, and is still my favourite, Superbowl 43. Think this one will be a cracker too, I can't wait. I got San Fran winning by 10 although the cinderella story will be for Ray Lewis to end carrer as Superbowl winner and I bet if Baltimore win they make him MVP for sentimentality's sake
