Hard to say much on team. Thought there might be a few changes but well Maori game hardly shook it up.
Anything from Carbery, Coombes and Casey to all start to the Willow Park under 12s b team wing to get minutes to build depth for the world cup. What changes are people elsewhere calling for?
The reaction to this team elsewhere is bizarre lol. Farrell is the conservative villain of Irish rugby for having a bad game and not bringing in a complete overhaul in *checks notes* the only notable away test match in rugby that no team has managed to win in the professional era.
Oh well tbf Coombes should be starting. First in my heart, first name on the team sheetAnything from Carbery, Coombes and Casey to all start to the Willow Park under 12s b team wing to get minutes to build depth for the world cup.
Don't disagree but I think using this tour as a stress test for multiple consecutive games away from home is better from a world cup perspective. A bit of pressure to play the three aforementioned players along with Hume and Balacoune in the next 12 months but there's 8 more tests and RWC warm ups for that.On those. I'd have loved to see Coombes play. But Can't say players were poor enough last week for overreaction. More just to see a change.
Equally Carbery just to see Sexton removed and see if we had to go without him can we do well.
Casey is nowhere near ready to start at this level.
Did think Aki would get a start as he seems in good form but again Ringrose is a top centre. We have 3 for 2 spots
Would I like Farrell to have changed a few more. Maybe but hardly the 1st coach to stay consistent. Equally my want for change is more experimental like can't say wow this guy or that guy is a joke on it. And this team is as capable as rest.
Same as the World Cup quarterfinal, Ireland were destroyed because of 5 mistakes. Last November they made basically none.I still feel like Ireland have got a win in them on this trip. I watched the game again from last week, the score massively flattered the All Blacks. NZ were gifted 3 tries through sloppy Irish mistakes. If Ireland can really cut down on the errors I think they can win this test. It is worth remembering that the Irish attack looked good last week when they went through the phases.
I don't disagree it like a hard 1 to say as both sides of argument are solid.Don't disagree but I think using this tour as a stress test for multiple consecutive games away from home is better from a world cup perspective. A bit of pressure to play the three aforementioned players along with Hume and Balacoune in the next 12 months but there's 8 more tests and RWC warm ups for that.
Odds on Sexton making it to the end of his shift?
