What is being planned, if anything, to open the new stadium? They are not going to leave it until November 2009 are they?

The thing to do would be for Ireland to host a test match there. Of course, this would be a test match outside of the international window so it could be tough to organize. Surely, Ireland coudl convince England to play?

Maybe Ireland vs Baa-Baas?

Haven't really heard of a good Baa-Baas team to take on the Irish in recent years..

I know the puff-ball team get the first go and they're playing Argentina at puff-ball and the IRFU have nothing planned for the rugby yet.

Well the first big match planned is a football friendly against Argentina in August.

I'd imagine if one of the Irish sides gets a home semi final in the Magners playoffs then we'll have the game played at Lansdowne so they can get their clearance from health and safety pillocks.

As for the first rugby international that'll be against the All Blacks most likely, one of the returns for voting for their 2011 bid no doubt.

Looks promising quite like the look of the slope of the roof as it gets to the corners.

that's only because the stand at the Havelock Square end had to be lower so it wouldn't block the light of the residents living behind it.

So the slope is only going to be at one end. So if thats the case it'll look like a melted ashtray. Shame
