Aye, promoting is something he's mentioned in the past.
Not sure the talent level is there for it in Ireland (the guys fighting out of his gym, bar himself, are muck) but if he attaches his name to a promotion in Europe I think there's definintely a market. BAMMA and Cage Warriors do decent crowds with a reasonably low standard.

Eddie Hearn has mentioned he wants to get into MMA promoting, if him and McGregor team up that would be VERY interesting.

That's it though. Regardless of what people think he has such a bandwagon support that he can break open avenues. Like I think it would be more going between MMA and other avenues he'd promote. I think while the market may be there it does have a ceiling in revenue.

Eddie Hearn is the most annoying coke head in the world. Hate the guy.

Mayweather v McGregor will be interesting, though not sure what trash talk McGregor can use as he's broke compared to Mayweather :D Can't see anything other than a Mayweather win, he'll drag him into deep water and win on points, maybe finish him in 10+ but doubt that as well.

No way will Mayweather knock him out. Think it will be a points win as Mayweather now is simply hit and run style. Build points and stay out of harms way. Supposedly the McGregor announcement is in Vegas Friday so lets see

Never say never,
You can say Mayweather has pillowfists (which are then wrapped in pillowsized gloves) but it only takes one hit in the right position to put someone to sleep. Everyone said Bisping had no knockout power and Rockhold had an excellent chin, but Luke still went to sleep in the first round.

Doubt it'll happen, but Mayweathers boxing IQ vs McGregor's is night and day, he'll be able to pick apart his defence. Conor will have a 2inch reach advantage but that's shorter than he's used to (5" vs Alvarez, 4" vs Aldo, 8" vs Mendes)

But will Mayweather be rusty. I know he's used to long layoffs. Regardless don't think it'd be the stuff of 2 lads at peak of powers etc. More a money gimmick where McGregor testing waters of boxing life

I don't think so,
Obviously he's not in his prime but I heard before that he trains as hard now as he did when he was fighting, diet still on point no boozing on nights out etc.
It's all he knows and he loves doing it

Have heard that too about him being still very active. My point is though is it true. Probably but I don't know. But it is 2 lads who are 100% gym heads who will generate a frenzy

I'll take that bet. Mayweather would destroy, literally, McGregor in a boxing match. I'd even go as far as saying that if he doesn't win by knock out the fight was fixed.

Mayweather not winning by ko would be the same as if they fought under mma rules and Conor won by points. Virtually impossible.
In terms of boxing skills, there is pretty much the same gap between you and Conor than between Conor and McGegor. A civilian vs a good amateur and a good amateur vs one of the greatest of all time.

Mayweather, whether you like it or not, is simply phenomenal. Some of the people with the quickest hands on the planet have tried and very few have had the fortune of landing a clean shot, let alone capitalizing on it. Mayweather is fast enough in order not to need to have a ko punching power. That's how good his reflexes are.
He won't beat Conor with one devastating blow but with a plethora of cumulative medium-power punches that eventually take it's toll. Again, people faster, way faster than conor couldn't land a single punch on Mayweather.

would also be the most boring boxing match of all time, mcgregor spending the whole time trying to avoid mayweather while not throwing a single punch

I don't discount what you say but Mayweather like an amateur boxer in that he's a point scorer

Definitely a worry, but I have faith.
GSP went out on top, and didn't have the decline/batterings that BJ has taken.

By all reports GSP has been training just as hard in retirement as he did when he was a fighter, and has honed his skills even more - I know he spent several months living in NYC and training BJJ with Renzo Gracie/Dannaher Death Squad all day every day to get it up to where he wanted.

Also he's not that old - just under a year older than Woodley, just over a year older than Lawler, but with 4 years of taking no damage. He should be in top shape.

GSP vs Bisping for the MW strap is apparently being targeted for the end of the year.

As much as it ****s all over the MW rankings, as much as I don't want to see either lose, I can't help but be super hyped for this.

He is a beast, no doubt about that. His last fights were all pretty one sided except the last one. I sincerely thought that Hendricks got his number.

Having said that, Bisping should be a good match up for him.

Khabib v Ferguson is off after Khabib was hospitalised before the weigh in

Number one bull****.

I'm in work at 6 on Sunday and was gonna get up a few hours early to watch Khabib fight, but I'll take the sleep now, watch the rest after work.

Genuinely gutted, it's the fight I've looked forward to the most in....forever.

Khabib should move up to welterweight, he considered it before when they brought in the IV rehydration ban. Apparently he cuts 37lbs to make weight, which is insane.

Zero chance he'll fight mcgregor now. Khabib could come back and dominate 5 fights in a row and conor will still refuse because of this.

Fuk the fight everyone was looking forward to really.

Fortunately UFC comes with BT as oppose to having to book it like in America.

Rockhold is willing to give up 50lb to fight Werdum???
Can't see that ending very well....
