Wrestlers make effective fighters but damn do they make dull fights.
Both Cormier and Lesnar got solid wins but....yawn


That said, it's a good win for Brock. If he continues in the UFC (he's said he wants to, but it's up to the WWE as he's under contract) then if he increases his gas tank he could have a good run

Crowd booing Cormier especially, with having the nerve to fight in a way that suits his style. How dare he. Not my favoured style but if it gets you the win so be it.

Enjoyed the event, even if I was like this for the latter half

Aye, and Lesnar is a top level wrestler, so he's gonna wrestle.
Coming off a 5yr hiatus and beating a guy in the top 10 is just mental. Really hope he stays in the UFC. Chuck him in against Big Ben, or Werdum, or something, and if he wins a ***le shot isn't out of the realms of comprehension (especially if Overeem is the champ, as he's the guy who retired him).

Everyone wants to see people stand and bang with Anderson Silva, but if you're locked in a cage with him then you're going to want to nullify him ASAP. Also Cormier is an olympic level wrestler, of course he's going to wrestle.

I really wanna see Aldo vs Conor again now. Aldo should tear him a new one.

Completely agree. Aldo was cocky/arrogant last time (a decade? unbeaten will do that, I guess) and he looks a different beast now, physically and mentally. I thought it was hyperbole when Gadelha said he looked like he did in the WEC days but he really does look back to his best.
Also fought really smart vs Frankie - Aldo has some of the best leg kicks in the business but he threw maybe 2 all fight, because he knew Frankie would be looking for the take down.

He is a superb fighter, in every sense of the word. He wasn't just undefeated for aeons, but he was so in a division that has a plethora of outstanding fighters.
He has no real weakness. I sincerely believe Conor got very lucky.
I thought Frankie's work rate would get to him but i saw no evidence of that. His takedown defense was simply amazing.

The other fight i'd really like to see now is Eddie Alvarez vs Khabib. Maybe give Khabib another fight before that but i'd love to see how those two stiles match up.

As a slight aside, I didn't realise Alvarez didn't wrestle in college. Considering his reputation as a wrestler I presumed he was an NCAA Div 1 guy. Turns out he basically went into pro mma straight from high school

Hobbys Tigers games (Got myself a season Ticket this season), play rugby, go to the gym work, go to the Races (Horses) etc etc.
