With the release of this game, which seems to be the same as last version of RC4 but not licensed, maybe they can expand on it by bringing back the ability to add up to 5 players in the Ruck instead of 3 and longer scrums how it originally released with giving the scrums more importance and more excitement when you can gain more meters or have a penalty called on the opposing team for losing the scrum, but add all the other good fixes and patches that were added to improve the game play, (not all the patches and updates were good for the game) take the best of Rugby Challenge 3/4 like 5 in a ruck, (which was in the original release of RC4) longer scrums and mauls that make it more simulation, now that they are re-releasing they have an opportunity to make "Rugby Challenge great again:)" And then with the player editor you can have all type of fun creating "fantasy" teams. This could be a good game, but they have to make it different enough from RC4 which most of have, so that they can sell more. I already downloaded it, I was hoping it was like original, original, RC4 release where you could bind 5 in a ruck, but unfortunately it was not. Maybe someone who knows the new owners of the game engine, can let them know, its a win win situation. If you make it different enough from RC4 through updates and expand on it. It could very well be the best rugby game, with some good additions in updates and patches. The code is there for 5 in a ruck and the code is there for more simulation style mauls, and scrums,

There's been zero marketing for this. Is it still the same developer wicked witch?

I think it's simply a cash grab because they know rugby 25 is disappointing and also not available on switch.

I doubt without licenses there would be a serious revival of the rugby challenge series which is disappointing because us rugby gamers supported it hoping for continual rugby game development.

If I am not mistaken, maybe some other company purchased the rights to the game play engine? I don't see Wicked Witch on the games start up, will check again, in any case the original game play engine came from Mario's Sidhe. They could do well with this, if they implemented just a few changes that is already built into the games code. Going to try and see who is handling the release and see if they can patch it with these fixes, like 5 in a ruck and more simulation style scrums and mauls that last longer and your able to gain more ground when you play them well, like the best of RC3 combined with RC4. I still play RC3 (with many slider adjustments) over RC4 because of better scrums and 5 in a ruck. But would like to have RC4 AI intelligence and play calling. The sliders really help tune the game how you like it. They could have this game go big, if they made just a few upgrades and added a few new animations. It has a very good core system.

Yea, it's a very good game. Just needed continued development. I still play RC4 on ps5, the animations are great even though they are about 15 years old - the old Sidhe did motion capture, i remember watching a YouTube clip of Jonah doing motion cap.

It's a shame we won't see any further development of this game. It's much better than rugby 25, which I hate using RLL4 anitmations.

Wicked witch got bought over named to wicked workshop. The PS store shows 'new' RC4 publisher has HES (Home entertainment suppliers) which is TruBlu, so essentially same as before. Surprisingly no developer is listed.
