Leinster v Leicester

Great win Leinster. Without Rocky Elsom they wouldn't of got this far.

I hope he signs for Queensland next year.

Jesus that was hard to watch, did have that grand slam game feel to it but it would only have been for extra time which wouldn't have been quite as soul destroying as Jones' penalty going over.

What can you say about Rocky if a van ploughing into him during the week can't take him out then what chance for the Leicester backrow. Awesome, won't begrudge whatever he does, will always be a Leinster legend.

Not too shabby a year for Irish rugby now let's see what they can do on the Lions if they get there that is!

Wahoo ......... Still coming down from it.

Just home after 2 days on the go to and from the game. So many memories, so many stories. What an occasion.

Have to see highlights. More later.

Whoo!!!

Well done Leinster. I think for once the more entertaining team has won!!!

I think Fitzgerald is an awesome player and is set for big things methinks!!!

George Hook (one of our pundits who 70% of the time speaks utter bull and then occasionaly sprouts some genuinely intelligent insight) insists that Fitzgerald is a fullback and probably the best one in Ireland. He commented yesterday that Fitzgerald could come back from the Lions Tour being considered a fullback rather than a wing if things go his way.

I don't know what to think of that but seeing as Fitzgeralds first few Leinster matches were at Fullback and he does always say that his preferred position is full back, there may be some truth to it.

Its always been his preferred position (as he says himself) as he played schools level there. However hes capable at 12 (played there vs New Zealand didnt he?) and is currently playing on the wing because Kearney took the 15 slot first.

Anyhoo, as I said, back from the match though I'd upload a few photo's while I'm at it.

The fairy tale creatues arrive early into the stadium. No idea, I presume they are Munster fans in their Sunday best, but I'm not sure.

Ehhhh ............... a lot of flags.

More flags and eh ......... well a big blue Jersey.

D'Arcy lifting the cup in front of us in the North Stand

Oh and here's a youtube video I threw up from same time. Only a few seconds, but thought I'd mess about with it up there.

My confused, dazed and rather smug mug after the team completes the lap of honour. Oh .......................... and a lot of flags.

lol year. A gift for my daughter but on occasions like this, colours and noise are everything, personal pride goes out the window hence I remove the wig and display my rastafarian heritage.

Just YouTubed another clip from sky coverage. Its only 20 seconds but its the highlight of the experience for me.

Anyone in the stadium, especially the North end will remember when "Stand Up for the boys in blue" kicked off and spread like wildfire. Unfortunately Leicester went on and made a million mistakes which distraced us, but it was a great moment to experience.
