Leinster v Clemont Auvergne

6Nations was a joke this year. The matches were of Magner League quality at times.

Just watching highlights but does anyone know what update of Kearney is as he seems to have rediscovered his form some-bit.

He was stretchered off with a splint on his ankle, so I'm guessing not good. When is Luke coming back?

He's out for the season. Kearney's injury looked quite bad. I imagine that Dempsey will come in at fullback for the remainder of the season (assuming RK's out) with Fergus McFadden coming onto the bench.

Nacewa to Fullback and Conway to left wing, if he doesn't learn now he never will. ;P

Lads, that is a massive blow to Leinster.
It'd be a monster task now for semifinal having to go to France without him & Luke Fitz. I was one that was saying Kearney was massively off-form but well was happy that he turned corner and last night was very good and had big part in turnover for 1st try so hope injury isn't serious.

But I think it'd be very dangerous if Cheika threw Conway in to start his first H'Cup game in a semi-final.

Apparently Kearney was walking about after the game. Hopefully a couple of weeks rest is all he needs and he'll be fit for the semi final and Magners League playoffs.

Worked with Sexton though, didn't it? :D

No because Sexton gained plenty experience working closely with Contepomi and was making regular appearaces coming off the bench where Conway has nowhere near same amount of experience Sexton had when coming on against Munster last year. Sexton would have got game against Munster anyway even if Contepomi wasn't injured.

And King D'Arcy I'm on way out door now to make sure we hold up our end of the bargain and get to Paris.

And again Well Done Leinster it was a great display to pull through.

Clemont should have won, it's sad that James couldn't nail his kicks (even tho he's a quality player otherwise) and that Parra didn't have the balls to step up and do something about it. Still I'm fairly Irish and not at all French so I'm happy :D

James looked like he didn't want to be a hero for kicking the winning drop-goal. He didn't want to be playing at all.

BJ was for sure incredibly awfull in his scoring attemps, but I don't agree when you say he didn't want to play. He his clearly at the origin of the 2 first tries. His kicks and passes were precise and fast, and more generally the occupation of the field intelligent.

He was clearly aimed by the Leinster attack line, but here I can't see another flyhalf that could have pushed back or simply stopped Heaslip in the 2 meters. This try is a lot more the cause of Floch bad direct line out kick, that didn't have pressure and by then should have minded a bit before kicking.

Anyone else notice that of the three tries, two were on Horgan's wing and the third was from his charge down (and on his wing)...

Edit: Thank god he didn't start in the 6 Nations, we would have lost to Scotland or some weird **** like that.

I've got a bad feeling about today. We just about scraped a win on the last NH visit and this time they have a man with a better goal-kicking record starting.

Hey! I just said something about the munster match in the Leinster thread. I do feel like a right mongoose now.

He was badly exposed last night. Horgan has been excellent all season so perhaps his poor performance is down to ring rust - he hasn't played in well over a month as far as I recall. Likewise Kevin McLaughlin (who was superb) and Brian O'Driscoll haven't played in weeks while John Fogarty and Nathan Hines are only working their way back to fitness after extended periods on the sidelines. If all those players are fully back in the groove come semi final time, I think Leinster will give Toulouse or Stade Francais a good rattle.

But of the most importance is that Connacht beat Borgoin! 22-10.

I only saw the first half of that game. Sean Cronin is some player. I forsee a huge battle for his signature when his contract ends in 2011. Munster and Leinster will both be chasing him.

It finished 23-20 to Connacht.
