Keven Mealamu get 4 weeks for head butt

Did he..?

I meant all this talk about his on-field physicality...didn't really make a big impact at all imo...better off with Borthwick...

Lawes' "Oh no you bloody don't" response, then Thorne eye-balling Lawes then choosing to go for someone else instead was even better.

Lawes 1 - 0 Thorne

Thorn stayed on his feet for Lawes hit. I personally would back Thorn against any player in the world, bar perhaps Collins. Lawes would have been in a similar position as John Smit 2008

Interesting article I read this morning in the Telegraph about how Brian Moore feels about it all.

Article can be read here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/ru...en-Mealamu-has-put-rugby-world-in-a-spin.html

Yep, interesting article, but there's nothing there that really surprises me ... yes Mealamu was found guilty based on quite damming Video evidence, yes Mealamu was involved in the BOD incident, and an incident with Grewcock apparently.

... The AB's have a PR machine that are trying to paint Mealamu in a good light before a judicial hearing, and the management employed lawyers, all of which was designed to lessen or to negate his penalty - really? ... well it's their job to field the best team possible and to win test matches (i'm not saying it's morally right, but it's their job).

As I said earlier, I believe that the majority of NZ fans want this kind of stuff out of the game, and think that Mealamu should just cop the ban, and negate this stuff from his game ... The fact that Hartley didn't get cited is completely independent of the Mealamu incident, and quite frankly just mean that the Wallabies now have to face him

What more did you want him to do?

I imagine not be English.

Because being English immediately qualifies a rugby player as shite and not worthy of lacing a Kiwis boots. God man, don't you know anything?

"There is, seemingly, a prevalent attitude within New Zealand rugby circles that there is little to be gained from investing in foreign players - that they wouldn't be able to bring anything that is not already available domestically.
It's easy to see why that thinking exists. The All Blacks are, and have been for some time, the best team in the world and so many players revered in Europe wilt or prove to be grossly inferior when they encounter the New Zealand national side."

It is what it is...Yes we have not won a world cup since 87 rah rah rah but we have won one, which a number of other tier 1 sides can't say (all the UK/Europe sides bar England obviously).

And not all English/UK players are shite, for example imo BOD, Wilko, Cipriani, Croft, Haskell, Moody, D'arcy, Henson (when on form), Shane Williams, Martyn Williams to name a few...(list excludes Lores) but...these guys rarely play awesomely against the men in black - they're really good against teams like ...Italy, Tonga and Fiji etc though...

not part of the UK. Let's just be clear.

Because it looked deliberate.

It harms NZ's image, it getting reduced...

because he headed butted a player in the back off the head, and he doesnt have a clean record he was sent off in 04 for fighting and a clean record shouldnt matter in the case of a head butt anyway, heaslip had a clean record until he kicked mccaws head

I thought it happened during a cleanout..having low body position may occasionally lead to head clashes/headbutt.

In regards to 04..I can only speak for my self here but if Brendan Cannon just jabbed me out of the blue in a test match i'd defend my self and my team also

Have a look at this guys. The language is a bit strong, but its funny.
