June International Tests: USA vs. Ireland (1st Test) (10/06/2017)

Back three is savage. Wish we'd started Scannell for the whole duel playmaker stuff. Marshall has been so off boil this season. Won't learn a huge amount from him. Back row are all exciting carriers too. Hope young Ryan gets a good run out, but hope Toner also gets some form back. Most experimental backline we've had in ages. Will hopefully be fun.

I wish Earls would just retire, Ireland would be infinitely more likeable without him in the side.

Pretty sure he lost control of that ball before it was held up by an American player. Try anyway, thank you Mr Pierce.

Eagles are a shambles.

Ireland haven't been great either. Niall Scannell, Keith Earls and Kieran Marmion the pick of the players so far. Joey Carbery has been poor. Happy for Jacob Stockdale to get a try on his debut. With the game virtually dead, hopefully Andrew Porter and James Ryan get a good chunk of game time.

It's hard to judge either side here accurately. I think the USA have enough talent for a Pro12 side that could compete in home fixtures against mid-table opposition. I mean this second string Irish side is still bloody good.

Funny the US putting up adverts during breaks in play. Another "innovation" there from our friends across the pond! :D

Case in point, some nice play and patience there from the US and the scoreline is respectable. John Mitchell will be a loss to them.
