Jeremy Guscotts Team of the Tournament

It's better than Stephen Jones' team...

But the selection of Healy and Mas is still hilarious.

Guscott is an odd pundit. I'm always baffled by his opinions. Don't agree with putting Ford at 10 over Sexton or Biggar. While Ford is certainly one to watch, Sexton and Biggar delivered more this 6N.

Sexton was injured one game and had two iffy games at the end. He's world class 10 no doubt but not sure he was that outstanding outside the Fra/Eng games. Not entirely sure there was an out and out best 10 this tournament.

No England forwards is a surprised Cole had a great tournament and I suspect Lawes would of made it had he not played in just two games.

Completely agree, but Ford vs Sexton really just proves that Ford has a lot to learn. Think he'll be a huge star for england in 24 months.

I hate pundits who do things like move SOB to 6 etc. simply pick the best 7 at 7 and back it. Healy is very odd as well he was average off bench in games except Wales where he was poor and good vs Scots. But Jenkins and McGrath did more over tournament as a whole. Obviously they played more.

I was thinking that too. It's such a cop out.

George North didn't have a great tournament , so a choice based maybe on ability more than delivery , brilliant player but just don't think he deserves place , Biggar was outstanding in every game and i would give him the nod over Ford , if you were to pick a best 15 from scratch though SEXTON , and NORTH for that matter , but over these 5 games no ..front row is anybodys guess these days but agree with Baldwin simply as the improved Welsh lineout was down to his accuracy... maybe also Halfpenny's kicking is the reason he is in 15 . but won't argue as he is a big advantage , the player of the tournament in my view would be between A W jones and P O Connell , both had huge tournaments

the only thing i have to say about this team, should be atleast one scot in there.

Why? Could make a case for Jonny Gray (with AWJ, Charteris and POC for competition though...), but I don't think any Scots demanded a place.

Well personally i would move North to 11, Halfpenny to 14 and Hogg at 15 but that is just my opinion

North, Healy and Parisse getting in on reputation. Debaty, Heaslip/Vunipola and any other winger really.

Best is the best hooker in the competition and 1 sketchy game shouldn't count against him. He was excellent against Scotland and England.

Rhys Webb and Ford for me.

Dan Cole was clearly the best tighthead. Mas and Ross hold up the scrum but they are nowhere near Cole in the loose. Pity about Samson Lee.

Never thought I'd see a team of the tournament where England made up 4 of the 7 backs and none of the forwards...
