You want to go up against that French lineout with Varley throwing the ball? I wouldnt trust Cronin, I certainly wouldnt trust Varley. Neither of these two are real options until they sort out their throwing.

The difference was that the likes of BOD and D'arce played badly, but it was just individual errors. There's a fundamental flaw in TOL's game and Leamy hasn't performed at all this season. Bigger problems than just a bad day at the office.

I agree with those comments.
TOL is behind Stringer at Munster and I think everyone in Ireland can agree he is the 9 Sexton needs to unleash this Irish backline.
TOL does 1 thing excellent and did it again in Italy and that is his defense but is that enough at this level - No.

Leamy is a natural 6 but confidence is low and I don't think he's played enough there as of late to survive at this level. Lack of discipline hurt him too.

Sean Cronin is fine. He's a very good player actually. It must be remembered that Flannery was likely to be the Lions hooker back in 09. Whatever your personal opinion of him, he was a bloody good player.

What I do know is that France are a sporadic but exciting team. If Ireland play anything like they did against Italy and if france and on form and cut out the silly mistakes, this could get embarrassing. Said that, Ireland do have a knack of rising to the occassion when the odds are stack against them so I can not wait for this game!

Sorry I was misleading. I think Ireland can be on their day a strong team who can challenge anyone. I think you put in better performances against better teams generally but results dont go your way.

I think Ireland are pretty lucky Lievremont hasn't got his head screwed on right because if he had Malzeiu and Clerc on the wings who have consistantly made the Leinster and Irish defense ,respectavly, look like an under 7's team with Medard Full back we'd be in real trouble but luckily he continues to pick Traille and Huget so we could possibly win this one
