I watched the try against New Zealand in the WC semi final from four years ago the other day and pretty much all of the players involved are still in the team now. Those same players who ripped through the All Blacks now struggle to catch and pass the ball.

I just can't get my head round it. There must be something behind the scenes that isn't right. How can we be so bad for so long? Things are getting worse if anything. It's getting to the point now where I'd just tell some of these players that they're done in an England shirt and they won't be picked again. Itoje looked like a superstar in that semi final four years ago and in actual fact it was probably the last time he played well for England.

Just been having this conversation. What is it? Players over the hill/ out of form, or the coaches e.g. wrong game plan or players failure to execute?
