IRB Women's World Cup 2014

about the game against the Aussies, their play was one dimensional but i also think this is a WC and most of these girls have only one chance at it,(babies etc) so play to win every game the backs are good but nowhere near as good as the forwards are, and yes there were chances to throw it out wide and those chances were missed.
You may think i'm nuts but i thought Sandrine Agricole did not have a great game some of here descisions were shocking, but this is being super critical of a team that has not had a try scored against them. they are a very solid squad which plays no nonsence rugby the two wingers are very fast and maybe Elodie Poublain could be a choice in the centre, i also think the tag of favourite will do them no harm, they are amateurs and play and think this game completely different to the guys, there is passion and dertermination in these girls whoever wins the WC will have to beat the French girls that i am certain off, and whats more they can play rugby under pressure, i think you will see more of the same against Canada, and you have to remember these girls all play Top 10 rugby which is not bad at all, while some of the other teams do not get that many games and certainly not at the same level, maybe only the English girls have the same sort of seasons as the French.
Bravo les filles how badly do you want that cup, just think if they win i will know 7 of them personally thats a first for me.!!!!!!!!!!!

Delighted the Indo published that, another nail in their coffin regards credibility.

Except the indo isn't supposed to be a tabloid. In theory at least...

over 2 million viewers for the Francs vs Australia game.

errrrrrrr ahhemmmmmmm, no no, excuse me there, that's "FrancE vs Australia", we're not Francs here, France thank you very much !! :p

And gaston I do think you're nuts, yes, but in a very respectful and fond way, and a very good way the right way !), and not about what you said about Aricole. Didn't see much bad decision making myself but I easily could've missed it...I thought she had a pretty awesome game overall.
And yes, France remains untamed (no tries scored since the beginning of the Cup) !! That might change against Canada but I feel France can make it to the final without conceding a score quite yet.

Ireland England, haha, that matchup again. I guess France would rather Ireland play out of their panties, er their skin and beat England so they can match up against a traditionally "lesser" team, or less trouble-posing foe. IT's funny coz that's usually France's job at the RWC (men). We make it to the semis, beat the AB's, wowww, wowww, no way, wuuut, yeaaaaaaaaah and then get smashed 35 to something in the final by Aus.....talk about anti-climax. 2007 is arguably even worse !...

I know that, but hiring journalists like this to **** about in an area they have even less knowledge than they usually would about the **** they spout has tabloid written all over it! Indo either have to change significantly or stick a nice red background on their logo and find some nice looking beors to put on page 3!

England v Ireland will also be a good one there must be bad blood somewhere along the way to make this into a great match, its funny to see France have adopted a lineout call , called Irish, where every girl and her dog takes part and they scored a try with it. Reminds me of the Ireland v England game years ago whern they had a 15 man line out good job they scored cos if they had lost the ball the opposition was not there!!!!!!!! So if we get a bit of the Irish Fighting Spirit we may see a France v Ireland final but the Irish are will have to produce their best performance yet to get to Utopia.

Or can you imagine an Ireland vs Canada final ? hah...

ah fk, that sucks...

yeah that's what national team's success does to a country, people start to get interested. It's been all over the news and in magazines, the French media in general. Everybody I talk to seems to know about it here, and I'm in the southeast, not really a Rugby area.
