IRB mismanagement of the beautiful game.

Yes not complete BS, possibly even worse. Just not a good look.

Your mob got dudded in my view. France were negative crapola. Another in a littany of matches where the best team lost. Symptamatic of rugby union unfortunately. I think both Wales and SA were the most recent recipients of the IRB dudding.

... I think that rather than the IRB doing anything in the refereeing appointments, they should INSIST that the commentators/reporters etc, that buy the TV rights, complete a course each year on the rules of the game, and that these commentators are called to account for comments made that are incorrect.

This would go a long way to educating the general rugby public as to what the actual rules are 9not what they think they are), and thus remove a lot of this bias nonsense

This.

Give the man a cyber medal. When I listened to that ITV coverage, in the tackle the one commentator "Awww, that's jusst a brillliant tackle, hard defence blah, blah, blah"
And then their reaction, as well as Pienaar's, was simply shambolic. Undoubtedly if the commentators had remained calm and collected there would be a few less flippent Welshmen. And I thought Bob Skinstad was bad.

I watch the game through Maori TV,Ive got Sky sport and all but I prefer Maori TVs commentary team. Last night for the Wallies vs ABs they had (All Black hater but an absolute crack up) Peter Fitzsimmons and Wayne 'Buck' Shelford. They're a laugh at times.

The Maori TV commentary team is really unprofessional, but they are the only guys i have found that aren't afraid to tell the truth, no matter who it may offend or whether it reflects badly on their own team. They also have a great knowledge of the game, Osbourne in particular says some very poignant things in between immature jokes

I'm a big fan of commentators who not only know the rules but have do have that professionalism and communications skills. The Maori TV commentators do know the game fairly well, but the quality of the sounds is like it's recorded on Windows Movie Maker. I'd also almost err on the side of total dullness than joking around or being too opinionated (unless it's ARC).

I thought the coverage was regionalised? I'm not sure if Pienaar ever came up on Welsh televisions... might be wrong.

And it was a brilliant tackle - Clerc went upwards and backwards and if the tackle had been completed, Warburton would have likely stood up and turned it over. The problem wasn't the tackle, it was letting go. (Even though I think that was the safest option - if he'd have carried the tackle on, he'd have forced Clerc into the ground which really would have been a straight red.)

No ..had he followed through went down with clerc and made an attempt to level him out it would have been fine...dropping him was idiotic.

Only reason Lydiate was born in England is that its the nearest hospital. He's born and bred in Abbey Cwm-Hir. Erm...if that's an English town at all?

How is Salford the closest hospital?
There's probably 100+ closer, considering there's Birmingham, Cardiff, Swansea, Liverpool, Bristol, Gloucester, Bath etc.etc. as towns/cities closer than Salford

Unless you mean his parents were up that way when his mum went into labour?
