I don't think Big Ewis...

...you callin me a pedo-psychopath, sister ?!

No, no, no...you totally misunderstood Depp's portrayal! Psychopath, maybe...pedophile, no. (I actually think Gene Wilder's Wonka ranks much higher on the creepy pedo-meter than Depp's - Depp was more child-like, while Wilder reminded me of that pervy uncle who smelled of liquor and always wanted you to sit on his lap.)

Nah, Depp's Wonka was eccentric, manic and (at least to me) quite amusing, especially when he seemed to delight in the mishaps that befell the little brats...hehehe...I quite enjoyed their fates, too!

Gene Wilder's the man though. He's got the best meme template. I haven't actually seen the Johnny Depp version, but if you say I remind you of that, then I'm terrified to watch it.

You should be. :)

As far as Wilder goes, I'm not a big fan of his, though I loved Young Frankenstein. Come to think of it...you sorta remind me of someone in that film, too...

;)

My public portrait is immaculate but there's blood on the easel. My name is Big Ewis and I kill people.

Big E...all joking aside...or mebbe not...you have such a great sense of humor that 'strange turns' are always to be expected in your presence. :)

you know, a great man once said: "without humor, life wouldn't be funny". I don't really remember his name (or if he ever existed...) but what's certain is nobody can question it, at least. So ever since, I've tried to live by this sacred principle. Peace be with him. He was theoretically a great man.

^ tried to rep you but have to share around first...your luck.
Related to that pic and its message, I do sometimes remember something hilarious and start smiling or even laughing (silently) in very remote situations. People are so self-conscious they always think it's something they've done lol and it always sounds like the shiittiest excuse when you say "no no I just remembered something funny".

But there's far worse, this is nothing. When somebody's telling you about something they consider really sad or dramatic and you feel this horrible urge is rising within you and you know you won't be able to control it completely. There's all kinds of ways to hide it: I pretend like I'm holding my chin/mouth area in a pensive way, and frowning my eyebrows as hard as I can, because your eyebrows rising is a huge give-away that you're cracking up. Clearing your throat helps a lot. Hiding the smile with grimaces, and then the hand on chin thing again...
The more awkward the circumstances, the harder it is to hide it. If it's, like, just you and the person and it's in a really quiet, small place indoor, with that sort of 'dryness'...it's an ordeal. I've had to pull off the most technical of gymnastics before, some damn fine work I've got to say, damn fine work. The other person didn't have a clue.

I did completely fail also though. Once, in the car - completely confined place, stuck like a bish - my friend who was driving was having a verbal fight with his girlfriend, I was sitting in the front. Burst out laughing right in the middle of a huge silence, just my luck, I was chuckling all the way up til that, doin' just fine, but then boom - all by myself, with the super high tension and tiny suffocating space. And they both hear me exploding with laughter randomly as fk. It was pretty embarrassing...
I had bad times with teachers shouting at me during the school years, but nothing disastrous.

^ yeah I'm back in France, no problem. There was a bunch of ads...in Turkish though. That made me angry, but only temporarily. Yeah that show looks pretty funny, and they describe that which I'd described before with my description.

But I mean, there's just something off about a person who smiles to the point where he's about to laugh, for no reason. If it happened to me I'd be pis$ed off as fk, like, why the HELL was that basterd so happy there ?!!!!

Of course the giggle loop thing, as shown in that vid you posted, is even worse when you're in it with a friend, someone else.
There were situations where, if you know someone REALLY well and you know their humor inside out and the depths of it, like my brother or a few of my best friends, guys you really know by heart; if they're with you and this is susceptible of happening, there's a golden rule: never look at that person, or even in that general direction. It's all over if you do. You die, it's all over.
