Great to see this innovation by the mayor of my home town
I guess i'll have to rely on the likes of Smart Cooky and members of my family to do it for me
... Anyway, here's the stuff article! ... a big virtual hug to my fellow TRF members from Australia

[h=1]Hug an Aussie, says mayor[/h][h=2][/h]BILL MOORE
Nelson Mayor Aldo Miccio can hug an Aussie every day if he feels like it, and he wants other Nelsonians to follow his example to counter the anti-Australian feelings brought to life by the Rugby World Cup.
Mr Miccio, whose wife Kim and children Lewis and Isabella are Australian, believes that the current burst of negativity doesn't reflect the truth.
"It is not true. We do love them," he said this morning.
So he has declared Wednesday "Hug An Aussie Day", and is hoping that many people will do exactly that, or at least make Australian visitors feel welcome by "going up and having a chat".
"It is not strange," he said. "I don't want Australians to be feeling uncomfortable when they come into our city, and I want our Australian visitors to know that New Zealanders and Nelsonians, we love Australians.
"They are our closest neighbours, they are our Anzac partners, and though we might support the opposing team when they play Australia, a lot of what has been blown out of proportion is in fact just good old rivalry."
Mr Miccio said Wednesday was ideal because the Australian test squash team was arriving for a tournament in Nelson tomorrow, and the Wallabies on Wednesday to prepare for their World Cup game against Russia on Saturday.
"We want to let them know that we do love them and wish them well, even though we're probably going to be supporting Russia."
The idea fitted in with Nelson's goal of being the best World Cup host city in the country, he said, and while he hadn't discussed it with councillors, "I think it's important that everyone, even councillors and council staff, should hug an Australian on Wednesday".
Mr Miccio lived in Australia from 1995 to 2002, and his children, who have dual citizenship, were born there.
He and his wife are hosting Australian friends James and Fiona Breen and their three children – Hannah, 8, Rebecca, 6, and James, 2.
Mr Breen, who has visited New Zealand a number of times, said there had always been a fun side to the banter between Aussies and Kiwis, and he was "a little bit surprised" by some of the anti-Australian feeling being reported.
Mr Miccio's idea was "great", he said, before the two friends somewhat nervously hugged for the camera, though they admitted that it had happened before "at the end of the night".
And the mayor had an answer for anyone who said it might be difficult to find an Australian suitable for hugging: "You've got probably 10,000 Australians turning up for Saturday, so you shouldn't be short of options."
