Cmac what team do you actually support? I've never knew and I have no idea what that club badge is haha. I'm guessing its either Leinster or Connacht?

Edit: Ok I just saw Dublin on your profile so that's probably a stupid question lol.

Yeah, I support Leinster. I'd forgotten I still have the wolf I'l go change it now.

Munster were playing their best at the start of the season when Radge wasn't around. He came back in and resorted to Axel-ball as he cannot run the line anymore.

Keatley is better than Radge in pretty much all aspects of the game now and that gap is significant in many. IIRC his kicking percentages in the Pro12 are at 94%! (or they were as of a few weeks ago)
I agree with this completely, Rodge has been an excellent player for Munster, he's pulled wins out of the bags for us time and time again and succeeded in ******* off everyone he's ever played against but he's past it, it's time to let Keatley run the ship and start bringing Hanrahan through the ranks. O'Gara used to be able to make up for being a dorrmat with his moments of brilliance but there's no David Wallace to make his tackles anymore and he can't run the backline nearly so well anymore. No justification for him being picked, shite all season.

Interesting ROG gets one week for a petulant and cowardly deliberate kick that coukld have broken a leg (retaliation so that's alright then!), Flood gets week for silly but still a tip tackle (but English International so that's alright then) yet D.Armitage gets 8 weeks for one of exactly the same ilk..........................I know, I know history BUT did not help playing for merely a French team!! And they call that justice...........

Naieve aren't you? It's nothing do do with playing for a French club (although the moaning portion of the crowd and French media will tell you otherwise).

They're test rugby players with the 6N just around the corner while Armitage isn't. You think of it as mild bias against the French. What you really have is full blown corruption throughout the sport.

That said, the petulant little shitehawks record for abuse of other players and officials wouldn't have helped his case.

Hardly "naieve" or even naive but maybe a bit bitter!

Agree about his attitude and record.....but has paid his dues and is entitled to justice as anyone else and did not get it here...................

A spear tackle is just that regardless of intent or accident.

Just because the mafia let O'Choke and Flood off doesn't mean Armitage didn't lift the player then dump him on his head.

Wreckless and dangerous play rightly getting a long ban. Be more concerned that test players are except to the laws.

Would you have said Calum Clark got off easy then re: Hawkins? :p

One problem is that a lot of these decisions fall under different bodies' jurisdiction. Internationals = IRB. Europe = ERC. Premiership = RFU. Then you have different bodies for the Top14, Pro12, Super Rugby etc. All are under guidelines by the IRB, with sentencing policy included, but I don't think this secures the impartiality needed. I can see why rugby punishments are so inconsistent.

It was a trip! Cox shoulder charged him off the ball so there was a good reason to retaliate and you can't compare it to the danger of dropping someone head first into the ground for no reason other than to act the big man. Personally I was hoping ROG would get a long ban because hes a major liability this days.

He did a long ban and deserved it. Would have been no case to answer if he was a regular England player however.
