HEC P1: Munster Rugby v Racing Metro 92

They have a shot but as you said the only reason for their top seeding is easy group, I feel they'll be put under pressure by better sides such as Claremont, Toulouse and I'd say even Munster. It's just the way Claremont have been playing it's exactly the way Leinster won last year and the year before.

Last time Munster and Quins met, Munster got whacked...in Thomand. O'Shea really has Munster figured out.

Quins should walk over Munster. Against Toulouse they'd probably win. Clermont would rip them a new one.

Under McGahan who was almost as bad as Kidney is for Ireland. Not saying Munster will beat them just put them under much more Pressure for sure then Zebre, not writing them off they've shown their a top class team over the last season and by winning the Prem. Ultimately based on the groups I'd probably pick them for a Final against Claremont, of corse Knockout rugby is a different thing all together. Experience is important and needed which this young and talented Quins side don't have in buckets compared to some of the others sides in the last 8.

Chuffed :) would rather play a munster side if the Ulstermen get to the final than facing a leinster side, worked out well for everyone but Leinster

Are Connacht through to next years HC yet?

Yeah I agree. Looking back 2011, when Quins beat Munster, Quins have improved massively since then and Munster have regressed. I don't Harlequins have anything to fear (obviously until they have to travel to Clermont)

Not unless an Irish side wins either the HEC or Amlin will they be through.

Wouldn't write off the Wasps resurgence just yet. They're hardly the 2005 vintage, but not many sides will beat them.

Been pretty surprised with the Wasps this year. A marked improvement over last year.

Always seemed likely to me - Jones, Palmer, Haskell, Ashley Johnson, Masi, that was always going to give them a big boost, and they clearly had the attacking tools there in terms of the youngsters. Think it might be a year or two early for them against some of the big boys though; if the likes of Leinster and Toulouse take this seriously, very hard to look past them for me.

Toulouse won't give a hoot about it, finally they have an excuse to concentrate on the T14 now.

Leinster however have chief all else for the remainder of the season.

I seriously think Munster could seriously do a job on Quinns. They'll need to play above their current form and cut out the stupid mistakes that seemed to dominate the first 20 today, but if they're precise and take their chances it's very do-able

I' sure Leinster wouldn't mind winning the Pro 12, they've mucked up in the final pretty much every year since the play offs started I think?

1. Go away
2. Watch some Quins highlights from this season vs Leicester, Sarries and Saints
3. Come back
4. Say that again with a straight face.

Another? Okay...

5. Ronan O'Gara vs Nick Evans.

Thought Keatley played well so definitely not need for ROG.

After having a look on twitter I have changed my mind and the order in which I am suporting teams is now for the HEC

1. Ulster
2. Munster
3. Clermont

8. Toulon

Leinster should win the Amlin depending on how seriously they take it and Quins are due a f*c* up so Munster could be seen in the semi's, nothing they love more than being huge underdogs against English sides.

While i'm inclined to agree, it'll be a cold day in hell before a fit O'Gara isn't 1st choice for Munster. Its like Farrell and his Dad for England.

Cmac what team do you actually support? I've never knew and I have no idea what that club badge is haha. I'm guessing its either Leinster or Connacht?

Edit: Ok I just saw Dublin on your profile so that's probably a stupid question lol.

Munster were playing their best at the start of the season when Radge wasn't around. He came back in and resorted to Axel-ball as he cannot run the line anymore.

Keatley is better than Radge in pretty much all aspects of the game now and that gap is significant in many. IIRC his kicking percentages in the Pro12 are at 94%! (or they were as of a few weeks ago)
