Very cagey, sides don't want to make the errors rather than force them.

Easter looks like he's packed on a few stone since the World Cup.
Mainly in the belly area.

Gutting for Northampton AGAIN! Refs really need to stop all this pussyfooting about at the back of a ruck to kill down the time!

Have to hand it to quins they managed to keep northampton out of their half long enough to still be in it at the end - and that maul was a top class play.

Quins scrum doing a number on Saints at the moment!

Does this change your opinion as to Marler's ability at all?

Haven't seen it yet btw, just know you were doubtful, but sounds like the boy done well.

Kind of, it was more Johnston than Marler, but he was part of a very strong front row (along with Gray, which was good to see).

He did, however, elbow Paul Doran-Jones in the neck at one point, so if the citing commission are feeling pedantic he could well miss the final.

Just as long as he can tour!

Splendid. Good to hear. Incidentally, he has tweeted that Nick Evans was right up his bum that match. The public schoolboy atmosphere at Quins permeates everywhere...

I'm sorry but the scrum was every bit as much marlers doing as Johnstons Marler certainly took advantage when PDJ came on he won 2 scrummage related penalties in 10 minuets (both were penalising his opposite man PDJ)

I'll have to watch it again, but the first two scrums with PDJ on were a free kick and a penalty against Marler. Can't remember any after that, but the ones before was Johnston driving in to Long to win the penalty, they showed the above view of them for it.
