well I dunno what a 'wum' is, but yes I do think England play a style of rugby that is as colorless as the jersey they wear. But that's got nothing to do with pre-existing bias against the English, it's just what I see on the field.
* Yes, the AB's played the most bizarre match of that era, possibly ever (dunno enough history so can't tell). Reminded me of France conceding 46 pts at home to Australia in like 30min of play, it's just these weird things you see during the last game of the year.
* Ashton is annoying as fk, his dive thing is the most annoying thing in rugby atm, he could've been Srilankese it's still the Ashton dive.
* I don't believe in England's current (and for a majority) style of play, and given their performances in the tournament I thought it would be the most spineless thing that they'd win the Slam. If France played like England, won all those games but in that fashion, and then ended up getting the Slam I wouldn't be proud. It's nice to have another Slam added in the books, and it would've been good for England of course, but my vision of sports and rugby in particular and what England achieved despite 4 straight wins are strictly antithetic. So that's why I was really happy to see Wales win. The fact that they took away the Slam and even trophy from a consistent force but that just doesn't play the game fully. A style that is pragmatic, ultra-realistic and analytical before anything else. Not quite the reasons I watch rugby, or sports, or am excited for just generally in life.
I've read once "England have an unhealthy relation to the sport"...so I guess my discourse is mild in comparison to others'.
I don't particularly love kiwis as a people (I mean they're rather obscure to me, dunno em), but I love their style in rugby. You can't hate me - you may dislike me, it's natural - but you can't hate me for not liking the England style. I judge what I see on the field, as for the Ashton thing I'm just havin a laugh. It's a bit ridiculous that thing......
You can call Picamoles a brainless bulldozer, Bastareaud the same, Fofana a guy with just speed, and PSA a complete noob at coaching and France wtvr you want, as long as it's sensible and based on what happens on the field. What can I tell you ? That you're biased just coz you're English ?
I'm not even picking on the obvious ones like Tom Youngs (which I like btw) who looks like Quasimodo or Farrell who looks like Anthony Perkins from 1960's Psycho every time he kicks the ball into the posts.
The Irish I'm biased, though. I do love their team and style (esp. this year) but my personal life has a connection with them so I do admit there's more than just brain there's also heart for the Irish.
I'm sorry this is just about me, I'm sorry it's completely off-topic, but the issues were addressed on here and needed to be cleared out.
Yeah guys, uhm...I don't like what I see when I switch the tv on and England's playing. They looked pretty cool against the AB's in November, for sure. As far as they're concerned, whoever they'd have played that day. Even if they'd lost that game for e.g....they looked GOOD.
P.S.: Henry, you did say "sophisticated" mmm ?? So you DID enjoy that magnificent piece of poetry I wrote of unparalleled quality...and that's all that matters to me.

Me: I don't like the style of play of the England teams for the following sensible and explained reasons.
Some english dude online: you're clinically insane !
Some other english dude online: Waterloo.
what....what can I tell ya....okay then, okay...Waterloo, sure yeh...
wtvr makes you happy and covers up the reality about English rugby !
The reality is France surrendered in the 6N quicker than Napoleon ever could.
those phrases. That childish mindset...all I read is: "well my daddy makes more manneh than yoh' daddeh ! Nuh uh !! Yuh-uh ! Well yoh' cantry isn't as economically stable as mine ! Oh yeah ?! Well at least blah blah blah blah !"
You're still going on about that, and have even added a new layer of bullshyt to your arsenal. I shouldn't even reply to these...

Yes but you do yoe because you are as weak as me! ha ha
But to be fair, I didn't actually reply to that which I criticized in your message !
but seriously man, look, as the friendliest thing I can say about this, that sort of comment really pushes you way way back into the clichés, and it doesn't help me with the prejudice I have against the English. You know, all those historical references, it's just...well I dunno, you either see it as childish and ridiculous or you don't, it would be long to explain it...and it's a fairly typical English thing. (to brag about what they've accomplished, and criticize others with that typical english sort of 'sarcasm'/my daddeh makes moh mahneh than yohz kinda thing...).
But wtvr, let's not dwell on it.
Firstly Ulster were completely outplayed and were just not up to it on the day. I really really hope that one day someone beat s the **** out of Ashton for that dive I ****ing hate it. Its unbelievable hes not doing anything special and yet he feels the right to rub it in the oppositions face i'm sorry thats not rugby Ashton can **** off back to league or football. I don't mind a celebration but not that stupid dive.
Rant
Your wish is Tuilagi's command
I dont really want to help you with your prejudice thats your problem and I dont mind cliches because most of us fall into one either negitive or positive. All former Empire type countries brag about what they have accomplised the French are no different in that regard than the English they just brag about different things such as food and art so dont act the small boy being bullied by the cliched bragging Englishman because the French are just as bad as us.
