Champions Cup 24/25 - Quarter Finals - 11 - 13 May

We're going to somehow end up trophyless again aren't we
I can't see anyone competing with Leinster playing this way, even Toulouse are unlikely to be the same beast without DuPont. Being this resolute in defence may have been the ingredient Leinster have not have had enough of, I would have expected Leinster to win both the last two games but not close out pretty bloody good attacks in this manner.

What a pointless waste of time that game was. The Champions Cup is now an utter farce. An aggregate 114-0 in two games at this stage of the tournament is a damning indictment of the competitive imbalance of the competition. As good as Leinster are, the lack of any edge in these games is a real turn-off for a neutral. The pinnacle of European Rugby isn't supposed to be like this - the tournament is dying.

The gaps clearly widened, games post pool stages you'd expect to be closer, however you've realistically be able to pick the eventual winner fairly early on out of 4 or 5 clubs for as long as I can remember, far fewer now, you have to remember Leinster were at home, Glasgow with some fairly key injury's and simply not having anywhere near the depth as Leinster. If you can't find some level of entertainment watching a team defend their line like the games in the balance despite being so many points up, one of the best 12s in world rugby who's not previously featured in Europe I don't know what to tell you?

Nope. Think this is your year for both.

You've had enough time for Neinaber's defense approach to set in. That was critical to the Stormers back in the early 2010s (we just had nothing in attack) and he was clearly very pivotal in the Springboks with this regard. Your reserve teams almost won both games in SA and you have just locked out the second best URC in Champions Cup.

I think it's the year Leinster actually wins something, and in breaking their drought will win both tournaments they are in.

In Vietnam currently and just woke up to see the score. Wasn't hopeful but didn't expect Glasgow to get nilled. Perhaps Nienaber should be known as the Viagra coach given what he has added to Leinster's D.

They should win the URC with ease. IDK if Leinster will have had good enough prep for a team like Toulouse though

Toulouse are gone backwards this year and Leinster are up a few levels now due to Defence. The only thing that could hurt is lack of real hard games. But that may also be a huge benefit

IDK It would be a huge benefit if Leinster didn't also get to rotate and rest most of their squad already.

Anyone watching through Sky?

Have yesterday's game on instead of Edinburgh v Bulls, soccer on other Premier Sports channel... That's very poor programming.
