From the Frankfurt area - used to play in France some 20 years ago cos I grew up near the border. Last weekend the German squad was all over Poland so if they continue playing like that moving up to the Six Nations A group then facing teams like Georgia or Roumania is definitely in reach - yet those teams are definitely another league and our last adventure of this kind was rather depressing with two losses against Spain. Key problem is that those players able to earn a living either in French or Italian second division teams literally cannot afford it to sign up for the road trips...It's not that we lack talented young guns, but the entire national structures and financial support system is rather deplorable - the national organization on the brink of bankruptcy, players often pay for their trips themselves. Results like the U 18 losing in the European championship quarters to Ireland prove that something can be done - but you need to give those players some perspective to play and improve their game - so ****loads of work to be done arund here, but one day...we'll make it
