that's true. I wished I saw more of Fickou often last year. But like I said, dude's 20 and we'll only see more of him from now on, and he can only improve a lot in the upcoming formative 2-3 years.

yep, a lot of that is from the U20's.

I dunno he looks physically very rounded there, i don't know if he's had a growth spurt or something but now when i watch him he seems to have lost that fluidity to his movements... that could be a couple of things, stepping up to senior rugby or even bulking up physically but now he doesn't seem so.... well graceful i suppose.

I'd still pick Lamerat over him, he played a bit of 13 for Tolouse so i'd like to see him move back to that position.

I think the clear agreement here is that France need to stop mixing up Bastareaud's jersey and get him in the front row. It think 12. Lamerat/Fofana 13. Fickou/Fofana would be my preference

Have enjoyed that guy's skills all season long for the C.O., and about what you're saying, this clip shows you just how important it is to have a healthy, structured environment around for your players to thrive in. A player will play one way in one team, and then a totally different way in another. That's basically the very definition of France the national side atm.

GN10 I actually see what you mean when you say clumsy, he's always looked like he could do way more physically, like he's sort of stuck or containing a larger athletic ability. I guess it's because he's taller than ppl think, and he's a special kind of player so he's got that 'weirdness' about him.

You seen Fickou win a lot of turnover balls at the ruck like a flanker, walk over people ball in hand, shove them out of the way like dirt ? Lamerat is also great with offloads and "chisteras", but Fickou has shown quality there so I won't comment. I think they're both very sound on defense too. Fickou is a very underrated tackler. Nah, I'm with GN10 on this. Lamerat over Fickou atm.

That's a nice break but he doesn't score the try. Fickou starts and finishes many moves in his video. His handling is better and he is a great finisher.
