France v South Africa - 12.11.22

SA really lucky on both those calls on playing the catcher.

Boks deciding going down to 14 men in Paris is time to experiment with impersonating Fiji. :p

Given the intensity of South Africa, I wonder what it would be like at 15 vs 15

Really can't complain if we're going in down by 6 at half time. I'm content with a loss within 14 on this one. Hopefully floodgates don't crack open in the second half.

I do think that France do miss Virimi Vakatawa

South Africa really don't look like they're a man down in the pack
Pretty normal these days being a man down doesn't have the impact for top sides. Where it usually tells is the extra work rate as the match goes on.

But don't you want to hear how he got the insight that his opposition wing was slow to turn on the chip behind which gave him a massive advantage again?
I never get trying to sell business software through advertising. Like the workday ads. SAP use to be on F1 cars. Like I just dont get it.

Nobody is going to invest in massively expensive software like Sage because of advert from Brian Habana. And it doesn't raise awareness either folks who would be buying this stuff know the players at their level.

I agree. I didnt like Vakatawa on the wing but from the few games he partnered Fickou in the centres the French looked at a different level in those positions. Now they are back to being okayish there, but really all their creativity comes from the halfbacks and (when they get the ball) wings.

Ouch. Hope Kolbe can play on after that, he has been on of our best.

Well thats France ******.....well at least they can see give their other 9 a run out in an important match.

I said Faf v DuPont would be worth watching. Didn't realise it literally with DuPont getting red. 😳

14 v 14
