I can see why it wasn’t given. Colwill turned his shoulder towards the ball as jumped and it hit both his upper arm/shoulder. The former being handball; the latter not. Was it intentional? Well he clearly wasn’t trying head or chest it.

It shouldn’t be an excuse for the loss. Senegal deserved the win. England haven’t been good these last two games. Tuchel is not the miracle worker England fans hope him to be. Still, too many sideways passing and not enough passing between the lines. Can’t see how he changes this.

Yeah England were poor. Im sick of seeing the wingers just cutting in. The odd time great but not EVERY single time. We need wingers bombing down the wing crossing in. That causes defences problems...exactly how Senegal scored one of their goals.

Theres some talented players who can create things but they need to get the structure right. Early days with Tuchel, we shall see how he goes. Wouldnt have been my choice first up but ill give him a chance.

Wonder what all the Southgate haters are thinking now
This comes down to the whole blame the England manager. He is only part of the problem. England will always be limited within the confines of their national structure because the FA doesn't have control of the players Like other major federations. That's why they have no identity of playing. It’s the main reason the England football team haven’t won anything in 60 years and won’t win next summer.

The haters will still be hating and won’t be able to see how he took England as far as they could within their own tactical/technical limitations. Passing between the lines is essential if England don’t get pinned back in their half. If they can’t do that v Andorra and Senegal what chance do they have v the bigger teams. He is a decent man, but not the best football coach/manager. What he was good at was creating a good spirit and I can see dressing room will begin to split under Tuchel, especially choosing players who are way past it like Walker and Henderson.

Getting back Bajcetic has gone under the radar. Hopefully injury free, the loan spells were just to get him back playing regularly. I think Elliott will move on, as Slot doesn’t seem to rate him or Endo. Could still do with another striker but after getting rid of Nunez. But need one that is a false 9 type like Bobby F was to suit the attack, who is also clinical.

That's absolutely tragic. I have at best a passing interest in football and generally don't like seeing Liverpool doing well but I always really liked Jota, seemed like a properly honest and down to earth man. Really feel for his family.

RIP.

Gets worse the more I read about it. He had minor surgery and was advised by drs not to fly so was being driven by his brother to Spain to catch the ferry to England for pre-season training.

And He only got married 11 days ago and leaves a wife and 3 kids behind. Just tragic really.

No doubt they should retire his number 20 jersey as a mark of respect and hold a testimonial match for his family.
