Strange, so I'm still thinking this squad can get it done without Ngwenya and Manoa:

Starting lineup: Pittman, Biller, Fry, Doyle, Stanfill, LaValla, Quill, Clever, Shaw, L'Estrange, Hume, A. Suniula, Emerick, Dirksen, Wyles

Bench: Fenoglio, Wallace, Pupura, Basauri, Dahl, Petri, R. Suniula, McDonald

They play tomorrow at 1 pm ET, 6 PM GMT.

I'm quite looking forward to this. I like the look of the Russia backline, and the USA team is quite strong in itself. Glad to see Cornelius Dirksen making his debut, if he goes well perhaps he could join his brother a bit further south of Colwyn Bay at the Ospreys.

Jon Quill and Gearoid McDonald. Interesting selections from an Irish point of view. Hope they go well. I think Robbie Shaw is Irish (or Ireland qualified) too.

Simplikevich is a talent, he would be an excellent signing for any Euro club.
I know he turned Wasps down, he could really do much better. Ospreys would be better off getting him.

Apparently he doesn't want to leave Russia at the moment in time, which is fair enough considering he isn't/has just turned 20.

Yeah, that's what I've heard.
He is only going to get better, so perhaps in a few seasons.

Very strong three-quarters line for Russia
But half backs are too unexperimented : Scherban 4 caps, Sugrobov 7 caps. a pair Yanyushkin-Kushnarev would be better...

Eagles name lineup for test tomorrow:
1 Shawn Pittman
2 Chris Biller
3 Eric Fry
4 Brian Doyle
5 Louis Stanfill
6 Scott Lavalla
7 John Quill *First Cap
8 Todd Clever *Captain
9 Robbie Shaw
10 Toby L’Estrange *First Cap
11 Luke Hume
12 Andrew Suniula
13 Paul Emerick
14 Cornelius Dirksen *First Cap
15 Chris Wyles
16 Zachary Fenoglio (FR)
17 Nick Wallace (FR)
18 Tony Purpura (FR)
19 Inaki Basauri
20 Peter Dahl
21 Mike Petri
22 Roland Suniula
23 Gearoid McDonald

Hopefully Emerick will not get yellow carded and the Shaw-L'Estrange axis will work out. If that happens, we should win.

Ostroushko in action (including RWC tries v. Australia and Italy)

Sooner the IRB sort this availability fiasco out the better it will be.

Sooner the IRB sort this availability fiasco out the better it will be.

The IRB are very hesitant to do anything involving international unions.
-Player eligibility: Many want it changed, nothing will be done.
-Player release: Nothing
-The Wales U20: The results of Jarvis-Loxton were never released, and Shingler took ages.

Right, Simplikevich is now going to be nominated to the Ed XV.

Honestly Duck, I am not sure, but then again it isn't my job.
If we are talking about eligibility, then remove grandparents and make it 48 months (I rarely see contracts beyond three years, so a player would have to be established).
For release, sort out the dates for it. We saw much confusion over the Lions for next summer, before someone realised that there was already a law in place. If national sides don't like the release dates (such as Wales with Poland) than tough luck. I suppose in the situation of Ngwenya, the US could demand paperwork to prove the issue, but an investigation would take too long and it would all be over.

What would you do to help fix the availability fiasco Cymro and Draggs?

Along with Ngwenya, the USA have also lost Samu Manoa to a quote "minor shoulder injury", which funnily enough didn't stop him playing 80 minutes vs Leicester last weekend. He also has a history of getting in the squad and then pulling out, he missed June tests where Northampton said he "needed to rest" and the World Cup where Northampton have said it was "Samu's choice not to play" which is in direct contradiction to what Manoa himself and the USA coaches have said which is that there was a clause in his contract preventing him from playing.

The IRB have been speaking about player release today by the way. (http://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/IRB-to-review-player-releases-20121108#.UJwnuHRojKc.twitter)

On another note, big Denis Simplikevich will have pleased some North Welshman. He's been saying some very complimentary things about North Wales and has been tweeting pictures of beaches and scenery on his Twitter account, so somebody is happy in North Wales.

Well they got to look at a few things in my eyes.

The IRB need to step in when teams 'make excuses' for players e.g. injury. If they pull out and then seemingly play for their club then the club should be punished.
If cash is the issue then the IRB need to look at stepping in and help fund the player / club.
The IRB could say that no club fixtures to be played during the international period, which would allow these players not to have to make a decision of club vs. country.
Lastly I don't think there is much the IRB could do. Ultimately clubs will argue they have a contract and pay the players, players won't want to risk their place in the squad and also the money they are earning.

Is the stream working for anybody? I'm just seeing the same 33 second trailer over and over again...

Working for me.

All I can say ... wow. Great rugby by USA.
