I don't think that at all. Perhaps you could class May as the 'old guard', but that's it really? As I said earlier, I have more of an issue with Cokanasiga's selection than May's.

My issue with May though is he form was average at best before injury, so not sure why he slots back in but then Nowells wasnt great either, nor is Big Joe's but least he still can improve. Not saying i agree above OHC Radwan and Arendall(15 pushes Freeman to starting wing and one out of the 23) but im actually less annoyed at Big Joe because he does have potential and had been playing in a bad side.

Also glad to see Freeman starting (actually watching him these last couple of games he's gone up in my estimation).

Definitely agree Nowell's stats aren't good enough. Also depends on how the tries are scored. I know that at least 2 probably 3 of Coka's were walk ins.

The more i look at this team the less i like it, in some positions its absolutly fine but back 3 is ridiculous May Nowell and Big Joe are the least deserving, Freeman did well for saints but i thiught was a winger, no real 13 or FB cover.

Realistically I want to see Freeman strong under the high ball and counter attacking.

Half backs showing some good control.

Front row looking solid in the set piece.

Dreamland would be seeing some good varied attacking rugby, but that ain't happening.

Not really looking for much in the back row or locks as pretty much know what they can do. Centres...well depends of Smith is allowed to pass he ball to them and wings are a waste of space.

Binny will be (rightfully) straight into the squad when they update but I hope Tom Willis gets a callup, though guess Chick is next in line (and then Barbeary, if he trained well last week)
Tbh, considering EJ isn't really rolling the dice on the this game, I'm surprised he didn't start Willis (or Lawes) and move Curry to 8
