England World Cup Squad

I thought he might get longer but it's done now. It should have been dealt with last week and we could have avoided all the nonsense.

Let's see how long Billy gets now.

And yet the decision still needs explaining. If entry level is 6 weeks and what mitigation for a player who got a red earlier in the year did they apply? However do they justify the Ireland game?

If they think this decision will silence all those crying foul it will actually do very little.

Well it good to hear what the appeal committee have said that the original committee ****** up on the exact grounds everyone thought.

I'd like to see their reasoning for reducing it by a week though.

The whole concept of having WR and then having punishments handed out by an independant review is silly. You have a set of rules of what is banned for how long, how about no appeals, the TMO rights a report of the event and WR hands out the ban for the period warranted for the offense.

Players might actually learn when they cant get a lawyer to speak them out of something consistently. Rules would eb applied universally regardless of union or status.

Reducing a ban because the player acknowledges the foul play or shows remorse is ridiculous.
is that what theyre saying?.....but originally he plead not guilty....changing to guilty now is just obvious gaming the system, as it clear he wasn't going to get off a second time

He always admitted foul play, he contested it wasn't a red card (mitigation because of George's intervention)

It's BS, but it's consistent
oh, ok, must have misread

complete BS, you cant mitigate back to zero surely!

A marginally more acceptable outcome reached via an incomprehensible process forced through public outcry rather than any strong policy position. Quite pathetic from start to finish. Reaching Rugby Australia levels of incompetency.
