England vs Wales - 06/08/2011 - RWC Warm Up

I'm glad i'll be watching the game in a noisy pub, because i cannot stand the Sky commentators. I like Will Greenwoods analysis, but Stuart Barnes, Dewi Morris and Ieuan Evans can jog on! Ieuan Evans talks for days, and uses words the most normal people wouldn't understand :p I know it'll be in HQ, but i hope it does all revolve around England :( :( hahaha

If it does, I demand role reversal the following weekend. I'll commentate, they wouldn't have to pay me :p What better way to watch rugby than having a loud mouth Valley boy rant for 80 mins :D :D You know you'd love it, I'd even sing half time for you ;)

Aww well I would goto a pub but I cant this weekend :( Either way just glad I has sky :p

Will the return fixture only be on Sky?

Sorry for double but TVH you should pitch that idea to sky/bbc commentate aka rant for the game then have you do the half time entertainment too :p

Matthew Rees is out for Wales with a neck injury.

England will be without Ben Youngs and Courtney Lawes, who are both injured (well, recovering from injury)

Johnson has pretty much said that Sharples and Tuilagi will feature, I think something along the lines of:

Stevens,
Hartley,
Cole,
Botha,
Palmer,
Croft,
Moody (C),
Haskell,
Care,
Wilkinson,
Cueto,
Flutey,
Tuilagi,
Ashton,
Foden

Thompson, Corbisiero, Deacon, Robshaw, Simpson, Flood, Sharples

Warburton to captain Wales, Matthew Rees out.

S**t, S**t, S**t.

Ah nuts. He did improve slightly last season, but he's still pretty much useless. I hope Gatland goes for Burns ro Owens. Pitty Hibbard is injured....

Nice to see Warburton captaining again though. I thought he led really well agains the Baabaas.

Could be a ***anic battle in midfield if Roberts is picked at 13 outside Henson.

I hope so would mean Tuilagi gets a big test of his skills! Lets just hope he doesn't punch anyone ;p.

Who remembers the last time Gavin Henson went up against a young English #13?

See cyRils avatar if you've forgotten ;)
Wonder if that'll happen again? :p

Hmm, haha don't think so might be the other way round :p

To be honest, not fussed at the scoreline as long as we put in a good account for both games I will be happy.

I fear for Gav if Manu starts...will be really interesting to see how he goes. If he does start, I wonder who will play at 12? For me the balance will only be right if Flutey starts with him.

Edit. Well I hope Gatland names his team the day after England, because if England selects Cole at 3, then Gatland should go for Paul James, as he's already got the better of Cole on a couple of occasions in the past.

When?! When he got hauled off after being mauled by Cole in the 6N?!

I agree - Flutey/Tuilagi would definitely be our best midfield from the options available in the squad

Gav coped well enough in the Top 14.

Paul James did have Cole's number during the 6 Nations. But to be honest every game Cole plays he improves that much more and is one of the best TH in the world.

Then you could have Vainikolo on one wing and Delon on the other and you'd be laughing! ;)
