England vs New Zealand - 19/11/22

Frankly appalled there wasn't a RUN AWAY gif available

I can just see the day Mercer makes the team and people start celebrating until "wait, what?" They realise he has replaced curry at 7 for an all number 8 loose forward trio.

Or maybe one day we move curry back to 8 and partner him with underhill and Willis! A triple open side back row

great, love the spice it adds
Yep. I hate the way teams are instructed to just stand there and face it like lemons.

It's a challenge. Let opponents face it down in the way they want. I was at Old Trafford when Cockers went nose to nose with Norm Hewitt. Brilliant! Nowadays he'd have had to step over a couple of photographers and shove a stressy ref out of the way to get there.

If they want to do a Campese and juggle with a ball at the other end of the pitch then fine.

If the ABs get riled because they feel it's been disrespected then it's advantage them.

I remember the 2005 Lions tour to NZ, when the Lions consulted with a few Maori elders as to the best, most respectful way of acknowledging and accepting the challenge - and getting crucified for disrespecting the Haka...

Didn't Cockerill get absolutely smashed in that game and had to go off? Probably not the best strategy to be fair.

Owen Farrell "I am now going to express myself through the medium of dance". Boom jazz hands.
Dancing the not especially quick step are Owen Farrell and his dance partner Marcus Smith.

Anton - 6. What I like about you 2 is that give it 110%. Just a shame how often you were out of step

Shirley - 5. Unfortunately those flicks and especially those kicks weren't the sharpest. If you're coming back next week, work on….

Motsi - 8. Whoop, whoop. I've never seen kickingteeography like it!!!!!!!

Craig - 3. Those hands! A dance disaaaster, dahling.

Tess: And thanks to Martin Gleeson and Eddie Jones for the beautiful choreography.

Used to like the haka until the last Lions series in NZ and we had endless, boring Hakas rammed down our throats before every game.

Really don't know what to make of England's backrow. Has Simmonds ever played 6 for Exeter?

Simmonds position at Chiefs is 8 with big Dave Ewers(built like an 8) and Kirsten or Vermeulen(who is currently playing 8) at 7.

So he is playing 8(explosive from the scrum) but not doing the hard carrying so its hard to define what position he is actually playing.

Maybe a link man sort of player or like a ben Earl so basicly an 8 playing like a 7 at 6. Does that help?

Yes mate thanks although I would rather have a hard grafting, hard tackling 6 than an 8 playing 7 at 6!

England's challenge has often been for the crowd to sing swing low, and every time like clockwork it drags out the "arrogant English" trolls. I think a lot of people don't really appreciate that the haka is not the equivalent of the anthem or minutes silence, you don't have to stand there and let them do their thing while you do nothing.

Foster really is a dumb **** tbh. Samisoni might be the best hooker in the world right now potentially, he's MILES ahead of Codie Taylor ffs. And once again to play England who like to try to dominate forward packs, we put in part-timer 3 games played at the position, Scott Barrett at 6... So already, on the back foot ffs. If we started Akira and Samisoni, I don't mind Mark Telea, but Sevu Reece is still a top2 winger in NZ... If we start those players I'd say this is the best possible lineup we have been able to field since the World Cup. Like this is it.. this is the team that will be at the WC. And we don't start our best in position forwards vs England, of all ******* teams.

Glad it is not just us that have an issues with the coaches selections.
