England vs Argentina - 06/11/22

Shhhhh It's part of Eddie's plan not show their hand before the WC.

Marcus Smith is a class player I'm not convinced he fits this team. He needs to run the show without Farell, or dropped and give Farrell the 10 shirt. Problem is we've no out and out 12 that has been given 20+ caps.
And you won't until Farrell is dropped

so eddie says he has new plans for the World Cup. The attack certainly turned things on last time but it also wasn't anywhere near as bad in the lead up as it is now.

Japan could give us a kicking next week...they play at a pace we can't dream of...

Don't fancy our chances against Japan next weekend either.
The frustrating thing about a loss today is now Eddie will likely put out the same side again vs Japan to try and get some form before running into the Tri Nations sides, so we won't get a look at any new guys (especially in the backs)

I really hate watching England under EJ like despise it its so damn hard to watch.

Like you see the sqauds, then see the team. And you know what's coming and it does and it's just so damn tedious.

I'm gonna say it its worse than following the Lions under Gatland.

Manu not getting injured is probably the only positive I can think of.

From memory we seemed to have in previous AI's started with a tier 2 Pacific nations side.

Don't know if MT will start next week walking injury that he's been. JvP starting at 9 is obvious to anyone but Jones. I thought Joe Cokanasiga had a solid game today. Nowell is steady but not sure on what point of difference he offers, carries well but his pace isn't blistering and seems to get out contested in traffic under the high ball.

There wasn't much of a contest over the ball from either side today. Curry was fairly anonymous, Billy Vunipola has had better games. The starting tight 5 I thought would be doing well to gain parity but had the edge.

If I'm honest, I'll miss being able to moan about how awful Jones is when he finally goes.

Imagine having a competent coach, who makes a side play well.

I reckon we'll get Pivac instead, though.

On the plus side, last time Argentina beat us at HQ, we got a new coach to take us to a RWC final.

Wayne Smith's not doing anything after next week ;)

EJ gets a lot of stick, often rightly so but they players on the pitch have to shoulder a good share of the blame. A lot of the points today were leaked due to ill discipline and playing far too loose.
