England v Scotland, 02/02/13

Next you'll be imagining England playing a left wing. That way lies madness.

Anyone who has experience there would do me fine, so long as they're not a fullback.

Thought crime!

Actually *tongue in cheek* Joseph has had a fair amount of experience at left wing...

I don't mind Foden there. He's a quality player who's adapted fairly well. Mike Brown is beginning to push it.

This is a pointless conversation. Scotland will get the Grand Slam this year.

Hahahaha if only wishes came true.

Joseph is another player being screwed around at their club for being "versatile". He's played outside center, wing and fullback at various points in the last month I believe. He's one of Irish's best players, so I don't know why they are shunting him around of all people, but it's definitely not good for his England chances.

I wish Foden was there somewhere...I was rewatching some matches from 2010 yesterday and it struck me how often he was involved in play where he nowadays goes without seeng the ball for ages. If we used him as we used Goode I think he'd do equally well if not better, in coming into the line more often. Maybe he's not the distributor Goode is, but he can keep defenders guessing

Anyone watching the Under 20's England Scotland game......one of the finest performances from an Italian referee I have seen...seriously.....but, on lighter note, keep expecting him to shout "LADBROOKES.....GAME ON!!"

say, I've probably missed the thread/post/announcement where someone explains why we don't have any vBookies on any of the 3 matches but, I've failed to follow on that...could someone please let me know what's happening there, kindly ? :D

My psychic Octopus picked Scotland to win this one ... mind you ... I only stuck the food reward under the Scottish flag when he was choosing the winner ;)

hahahaha that's awesome :)

The more j think about it , I think just like last year England's defence will win us the game. Last year none were standout attacking sides but England's defence win us the game and it be the same today. No high tries just who can defend a lead the best will win. Both teams won't create or score many tries

That's usually how a Calcutta Cup match goes. Whoever gets the first try shuts the game down. I just hope it's England and they don't get it from a charge-down.

Forecast is for sun and clear skies, so we might just see expansive rugby from boths side... I think I'm still hungover.

I think you're still drunk!

We might actually. The Scots have serious striking power out wide, I don't think they'll be interested in an arm wrestle through the middle when Visser and Maitland can make hay, while our pack could create enough quick ball that holes open up for our attack. Suspect the packs will just cancel each other out though...
