I can see a few names there that make me wish I was playing on the opposite team. Definitely worth a watch. Thanks for the heads up Sir!

Terry Hollands at number 8 for England

Jaysus

Edit: I don't know who Rav Wilding is but he was banging out the anthem then!

Edit edit: Love Tony Spreadbury!

Terry won't be able to play for too long - knees can't take too much running about when you're 170+kg.

I'm not sure why I'm surprised that the Made in Chelsea guy has England age-grade caps, considering how posh he is and how posh-school dominated the lower grades are.

Is Hollands off? Don't think I've seen him since the anthems, and considering his size...!

Edit: Damn, yeah, Hollands off with a hamstring. Really want to see him bosh someone.

TBF you still have to be fairly decent player to represent England even @U16.

God this is making me miss Jason Robinson what a player.

Aye, I'm not slagging him off with that - the private schools are the ones that can afford the top level coaches, and put an emphasis on rugby as their main sport.

Was funny to see Gaz going off saying his ham string hurt, then running about on the touch line looking for the medic.....after 6 mins....
Have seen a few players like that in my years

Call up for Robinson and Mears? :p
I wasn't a fan of Mears, but considering our lineout options now :p

I think you'd be surprised - only the top DM cup sides have high level specialist coaches.
The fact that they play rugby instead of football is far more significant.

Finding this much more entertaining than I thought I would. Maybe I'm just rugby starved. And nice to see something a little less serious without standing in the rain in a park on a Sunday morning.

Completely agree on the ref mic

Really?
Maybe it's a regional thing but all the schools round my ways have proper coaches, and most have current pro-players that go along to trainings too.

All refs need to be mic'd like this.

Agreed, love the back and forth with the commentators too

Going to take a wild guess and say your near the likes of Oakham, Uppingham etc maybe?

Define "proper coaches"? And what schools are you near, pretty high level rugby schools that play DM cup, I'm guessing?

Sure - ex players will do the rounds and do sessions every now and then, I assume they'll do that to the top grammar schools in their club's catchment area too.

It's probably a very recent development - and are those guys PE teachers as well? Or do they literally just do Rugby?
