England Six Nations Squad 2025

Tom Willis, Tom Curry and Earl apparently big doubts.
Where have you seen that?
From what Ive seen it's just like the last rest week: handful of players sit out the first few days of camp but are still actually in camp
Conveniently also synchs up the numbers with the old EPS agreement where fringe players were released back to their sides

If any were actual doubts you'd expect more players than just JvP to be called up

So Martin seeing a knee specialist.

Kenningham call up?

4 Itoje
5 Chessum
6 Kenningham
7 Ben Curry
8 CCS

Pollock or Barbeary and Hill on bench ?
I would have the Exeter 8 over Barbeary. He was superb in the A game

But isn't just a rule of life that ask 2 doctors or 2 lawyers to opine on the same matter and they won't agree?
Absolutely, in pretty much any walk of life, if you ask 5 experts, you'll get 6 different opinions.
What you shouldn't get is any of those professionals having a dig at the others for coming to perfectly valid conclusions that you happen to disagree with. (It can be different if the conclusion lacks validity, but "following standard practice" is never going to lack validity).
Whatever the ins and outs here, one net result is that we have country and a club pretty annoyed with each other.
Yep, but only one of those is bitching to the press in an attempt to distract from their disastrous season.
Only one of those sides has a bunch of random laymen sticking the boot in - largely (not exclusively) because of who they are.

Borthwick was having a dig back / defending his corner in today's press.

Reading a Times article the Queen's "recollections may vary" sprang to mind. But anyhow, it's clear that relationship isn't where it should be right now. And let's not forget the player who's likely now not to feature for club, country or BIL and has found himself in a horrible situation between paymasters with more media attention than he'd ever have wanted.

Tom Willis going through HIA protocols, and Tom Curry has a dead leg so maybe not so bad. But maybe worth resting anyway.

Not sure on Earl just heard he was a doubt.

My only issue with Fisilau is his weight. Is he big enough for an International 8? He really doesn't to me. That leaves him then looking at flanker or 12...sorry I'll get my coat.

He's bigger than Savea.

But he's v young and way down the pecking order. So I'm really not particularly that concerned and to date from what I've seen it's mostly been fine, not wow.

Willis and Earl should be around for some while and bearing in mind the increased physicality of the international game I'd absolutely be having CCS as the next cab off the rank.

No game this week though (I did have to double check that, tbf :p) so things like that likely won't play into next round's selections
