Because he was fit enough to be there but then through the actions of the camp had to leave

You mean he got on a bed a gunpoint?

I mean... unless he normally has specially made beds at all of the hotels he ever goes to, he'll be getting on a standardised mattress size.

He got on a bed in the England camp

Jeeze, no one is suggesting EJ is knee capping people, just taking note that it's another person returning home from camp in worse state than they went in

Aye, and inferring incompetence and finding him at fault.

To appoint any blame on Jones or the England camp in general for Lawes' injury is ridiculous. It's unfortunate, but come on, it was a bed.

That's really not what's being reported.
The bed injury wasmsuffered 3 weeks before the training camp your blaming for it.
Typically, cause happens before effect, not after.

More interesting to me is what the hell sort of back spasm takes this long to still not be resolved?
The answer, of course, is one that isn't a back spasm.

Jeeze, are we really not allowed to joke about England anymore?

It was a light hearted comment as someone bet on 3 players being sent home from the England camp, and now Lawes has been....sent home from the England camp.

Cheers for sticking up for me while I was away for the weekend. Yeah the whole point is it was a semi-joke about how the England training camps seem to end up injuring people, especially while doing non-rugby related activities.

Can't argue too much with that. Maybe it's Underhill or Shields to start with the other missing out and Mercer to bench, but I reckon you're pretty close.

Nicked a lot from Dallaglio in the ST today. I think seeing combo of Farrell, Tuilagi and Slade would be interesting. Krutoje back as a reliable combo in the engine room.

Hepburn at 1. Starting mostly likely opposite Malberbe in the scrum will be a baptism of fire.

This game has really snuck up on me, didn't realise it was this weekend!

Too much Red Dead 2. Time to put the controller down;).

Like to see this though i can see EJ putting Underhill at 6 and Shields at 19. Mercer at 20. Wernt shields first on the bench at lock cover for england?. Not sure how i feel about that but EJs done it before.

Deffo want mercer in that 20 shirt though.

Do think having ball carrier at 12 will help as it give 10 choice of playing narrow with ball carrier or using 13 wider and bringing in strike runners. This is the current problem, we are having to use forwards to give go forward, which takes them away from the ruck ball, with this in turn creates slow ball as more work is needed to get it back. This then totally nullifies the benefits of 10-12 playmakers, especially Ford. His best work is done in broken defences not when they are all lined up ready.
